I heard about that too.
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.Robin Williams was the number one Google search of 2014.
A worthy testament to his legacy.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Oh wow. T___T
Every time I see anything pertaining to Robin Williams, I feel at a loss for words. I know, he's been dead for a few months, but after watching those videos that feature both him and his daughter Zelda, I can't feel the same as before he died if I tried watching them again. Some time ago, just typing in "death of" in Google with auto-search disabled would yield a search suggestion "death of robin williams", and now typing in "how did" would suggest "how did robin williams die".
Because he was a fan of The Legend of Zelda, no wonder Zelda was given her name...and there was a picture online of Robin as the King of Hyrule. And there was even a petition to name a future Legend of Zelda character after him.
I might have watched Hook a long time ago, but I really can't remember it. I definitely watched Jumanji at least once (or twice) during my childhood years (but that time, I wasn't aware of him). Also, for an unknown reason, I never watched Aladdin until last Friday, even though I was very well aware of the movie and Robin's role. Was he also in Night at the Museum? I might have watched it as well.
I still feel a major loss as of today because of this; he made us all laugh, and we have to continue on without him. Even when I found out that he died the day after he hung himself, it was still a major loss for the world. We will always remember him...
He was in all three Night at the Museum movies. The third was his last movie.
He hasn't gotten a lot of good opportunities in TV and movies?? I recall a recent Family Guy episode parodying all his roles in their sequel to the first "Viewer Mail"! But they went with a sound-alike! Why didn't he guest-star in that episode!?! It's a show that does pay huge! Are the producers too thick to even read a script like that and not contact him!?

I think the issue is he hasn't been in too many big movies in the decade leading up to his death. The only movies I can even remember him being in off-hand since 2004 is the Nightatthe Museum trilogy and both of the Happy Feet films.
Also, according to The Other Wiki's page on his filmography, he still has one film coming out in 2015. Absolutely Anything, a British comedy where he is the voice of a dog.

I'm actually quite appalled that Disney was planning on making a 4th film with unused Robin material before they found out about his will.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.No shame. No shame indeed. And That's Terrible.
Depends on when they launched the project. If they moved it before his death, no matter, if afterwards, then it's just pandering over his death.
I kinda got the feeling that it may have been on the board" before Robin's death, but the fact that an announcement is being made now concerning it makes me think that Disney kept at it even after his tragic passing, which i think is pretty low.

Huh? I've got plenty of friends that work at Disney World and I've never heard them call it that even on their bad days. The enforced attitude is "you only stay working here if you actually like being here".

it's actually in France that employees call it that, not America.
Watch SymphogearI would imagine this has far more to do with Disney having done some shady things and gone back on their contract with the first Aladdin and this is just intended to allow Robin to keep saying No long into the future and prevent them from underhanded dealings.
I think the outtakes should be fair use for things like Blu Ray extras, though.
But a whole movie? Whoa, Disney. Classy.
What I don't get is why they don't just get Dan Castellaneta, the guy who voiced Genie for the first sequel, or Jim Meskimen who's been doing the voice since 2008. Are they that averse to actually paying someone for voicework?
Star Power.
Lot's of ideas get passed around, most of them don't go anywhere. Using Genie outtakes might have been an idea floating around and got more gossip than what was actually going to happen.
I didn't know Jim Meskimen had been doing Genie. Anyone have any samples of him doing the voice?

If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.Like I said, I doubt this was actually anything more than Williams ensuring that Disney couldn't profit on him after his death rather than actually based on any concrete thing.
I'm especially impressed if that's him doing the Japanese bits too...
Blizzard immortilizes Robin Williams as a NPC in World of Warcraft.
