I saw most of her Sesame Street cartoons when they were new, but then I got to see them again on her Youtube channel as I was introduced to "Quasi at the Quackadero". Then I took a look at the other Quasi & Anita stuff and that one with Danny Elfman... Oh yeah, and I came to learn her animation was in movies! Like the cartoon death world in The Twilight Zone Movie, or the opening credits to "Mannequin"—is that one not on Youtube anymore?
Pretty good at making a long face look cute, huh?
I actually saw many of her works in the old Sesame Street shorts, especially the song number "Beginning, Middle and End!" I actually checked out most of her shorts on her You Tube channel and they were fantastic! It's a shame that we don't see many animated shorts like that anymore.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!It's really great that somebody else knows about her genius.
Has anybody else on this forum seen Sally Cruikshank's classic cartoon, Quasi at the Quackadero?
One of the greatest cartoons ever made, in my opinion. I have no problem with the fact that it's on Jerry Beck's list of The 50 Greatest Cartoons. It's just too low on the list...

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Reviving this thread...
I just found this. A stunning example of What Could Have Been:
Quasi at the Quackadero is Mind Screw in the best way. I’d have loved to have seen what a feature by her would have looked like!
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!You say mind screw, I say surrealistic masterpiece. I do concur I want to see a feature film by her, though.
I actually met one of the guys responsible for the soundtrack to Quasi - if you can believe it.
HIGHLY LATE EDIT: Just found this.

Talk about this rather underrated animator and her highly surreal body of work.
Sally Cruikshank is one of my favorite independent animators. Her work is surreal in a way that hasn't been seen since the first few years of Betty Boop.
Anyone else heard of her? If so, what do you think?
