You know what I don't like; I feel as soon as we move away from these guys we're going back to King and Ban (and Jericho) and they are by far the least interesting right now.

They need to get more integrated into the main story but I'm not sure how they would find out what's going on without running into the Ten Commandments themselves and that should by all rights go worse for them than it did for the others.

Is the manga on break this week?

And as for those spoilers, Apparently Fraudrin is the one who killed Liz and he only first tried to possess Hendrickson but possessed Dreyfus when he got in the way.

Or something like that. And it's Golden Week so no chapters.

What happened to Vivian anyway? She wasn't even seen at the Hendrickson battle, was she?

Yeah, she stopped doing anything useful after he attacked Gilthunder. Then she was apparently forgiven or something because she's still stalking him.

They were all told to atone for what they did. I don't see why they would arrest her when everyone else who was accountable were told to just go on with their lives and try and make everything right.

Whether she's doing that is another matter but she's not actively apart of any conspiracy anymore.

That would probably be more meaningful if I thought that she in any way truly regretted her actions. "Oh no, now I can't keep Gilthunder under my thumb because I slipped up at the end" isn't much of a regret.

Chapter's out.

I guess that silhouette with them in a group shot was Fraudrin in Dreyfus. I had been thinking that but this confirms it.

I thought there was no chapter this week for a moment, but wow. I'm surprised Dreyfus actually wasn't possessed because he was jealous of his brother or seeking power, he did it to protect Hendrikson. He was incredibly strong-willed and noble. And now we know the one behind the Danafor disaster and Liz's death was Fraudrin. I guess he was lying when he told the other demons he was awaken 10 years ago.

Not really much of a lie; after what Meliodas did apparently couldn't do anything for all the time he was down there, they might have even woke him up again.

Nothing too big, but we've learned a little more about what happened in the past.

Fraudin for sure has a monstrous Demon Form.

Definitely interesting. Fraudrin seems to have the greatest connection to the plot of the Commandments, so maybe he's the actual Big Bad?

I am betting for him being the Number 2 to the Demon King.

He seems like basically the cause of all the conflict thus far, at least in the "present." I wonder how he escaped being sealed.

I've said it before that I don't really think any of them are going to be "the leader" because that role itself seems to be filled by the Demon King.

It wasn't actually implied that he looked human in the first place.

Edit: I'm not really sure how I feel about neither Dreyfus nor Hendrickson being really responsible for anything that happened here.

Also, was Fraudrin kind of lurking in the subconscious sometimes? We actually saw into Dreyfus's thoughts during the fight he had with Gowther.

Maybe.

Perhaps, he can let him take control to make things more authentic.

Fraudrin handled things very well: put a spell on Hendrickson to make him think that releasing the Demon Clan is his own idea and let Dreyfus remain in control for most of the time while hiding his presence so he can orchestrate things without Meliodas or anyone else ever being able to find out about him.

It makes sense, and is clever, it just sort of takes away some of the moral intrigue with Dreyfus and Hendrickson when neither really wanted any of what happened and weren't directly responsible for most of it.

On the subject of moral ambiguity, here's a subject I've been pondering: who started the war 3000 years ago, anyway?

Sounds like something demons would do.

I think we're just suppose to assume the demons did but who knows how that's going to turn out.
