One panel is enough in my mind.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe illustration doesn't seem to be adding anything.
We could remove any of the first three.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Do you mean any one of the first three? Reducing from four to three panels? Okay, but that makes me really uneasy. I can imagine that if someone were to make a federal case out of it, it'd make the judge angry that one party tried to use 75% of a work as a "small portion" to conform to Fair Use laws.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Two panels is enough to establish the exchange if we're going to keep the comic strip. I'm leaning toward the second and fourth panels myself.
Any of the first three plus the fourth is good with me.
Not keen on how the people's faces are horribly pixelated, though.
That is definitely intentional, to try and match the Street Fighter 2 character select screen. I like it.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. The problem with 8 is that it's literal, and not really something used by kids to prove themselves to be better.
Check out my fanfiction!8 illustrates the trope but also the page title, which is a minus.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHmmmmm...the Cracked pic is amusing, but I dunno that it's necessarily better than a cut-down of the current.
Since this one's at the clocking point and we need to make some kind of action due to it being a whole strip, I've gone ahead and hooked a crowner.
Pre-weekend bump for votes; only one in the green.
I kind of like all of those strip suggestion. Just not sure which of them make for a better joke and illustration.
A better bridge player is about something the dad can do, so it's indicative of him actually being better at something with no buts about it, but not particularly interesting.
Having travelled more does imply someone with at least a little more money and/or more important job, but it's also not very interesting or convincing.
Being taller sounds like a typical playground bragging point as it's immediately obvious and rather shallow, so I'll have to go with that. Still, any one of them works.

Agree completely, that's why I voted for that one (3+4). Also, it's a physical trait. The other two don't contrast with "attends PTA meetings" as much, IMO.
Frame 1 says "Peanuts" on it, but who cares?

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Another votes bump...only one in the green, but it's not at consensus level.
This one can be called. Can someone do the requisite edit and post the new pic? Thanks in advance.
Done, I did recycle the caption.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLooks good. Locking up.

While the current pic on My Dad Can Beat Up Your Dad is a great example, if I'm not mistaken it's an entire Peanuts strip. Should we just cut it down to a couple of panels or try to find something else? I'm good either way.
