Jones is 48, so he's kinda borderline, but agreed on Barnes.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! Not sure how spoilery I can be- it's kind of the premise of the work that most of the characters are incarnations of deities.
Mr. Nancy is basically a Dirty Old Man who looks elderly but has surprising vigor. So, while Jones is the older of the two actors, he seems too young for the part because the character's personality is charming rather than annoying because he's an old dude.
There's a bit more leeway for Ibis to be younger, I think because while everything about his personality suggests an older man (i.e. his obsession with writing ponderous historical tracts). I do vaguely remember that he continually pulls My Grandson, Myself (not sure if he literally claims to be his own grandson) as a way of operating the same business for generations, so he could conceivably be a younger man.

First pictures! Which I'm sure book readers will instantly recognize.

So I read this book a few weeks back. It's pretty good. I'm looking forward to this show.
That's either going to be really creepy or narmtastic.
Shut up and take my money.
Is this only going to be on Starz? Am I going to have to get a Starz subscription to watch this show, or do they normally have the episodes for free on their website for a time?
Hopefully the second one.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! So it's confirmed this is a miniseries right? They're not going to try and drag it out over several years?
It's not a miniseries, as far as I know.
Hannibal did a pretty good job of distilling and expanding the material, and I'm willing to put a lot of faith in Bryan Fuller as a showrunner at this point. American Gods and Anansi Boys created a setting that's rife with possibility beyond the stories of the books, and from what it sounds like they've been including Neil Gaiman in the process quite a bit, so if they wanted to take this to a full (or at least 13-episode) series, then I've got high hopes.

I mean, unlike Game of Thrones or something like Preacher, it's adapting something that's only one book. And so it has to end at the end of the book (unless they also adapt "The Monarch of the Glen" for the second season).
Of course, Gaiman did say at one point that he was working on American Gods 2, so he could probably just adapt that into a second season of the show.
If Fat Charlie and Spider were to show at one point in the show, I mean, I wouldn't complain.

Portrayed by whom?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!By miniseries I meant will it be one season. I could see the events of the book taking up a ten episode series but it's still just one book. I haven't read it but I'm sure they can work Anansi Boys in somehow although I don't know if that's enough for a second season.
They show Shadow walking up to a massive tree, which is probably the one he hangs himself from. So they are probably doing the entire story in one season.
Alfie Enoch, perhaps. He's a British actor, as well as black.
EDIT: @Kostya: I think Starz have said that there's going to an Adaptation Expansion on every character's behalf, so it's probably not going to be a single season. I think the first season is going to cover a third of the book.

Castings of Mr. Nancy and Mr. Ibis- respectively Orlando Jones and Demore Barnes (slight spoilers in link as to who they are).
Both seem like pretty decent picks but also way, way too young. Both characters in the book(s) are of an age to be called "grandfatherly".
