Does anyone remembered watching an old Nickelodeon show called The Secret World of Alex Mack? I used to watch this show all the time when I was little and I always loved the way that Alex used her powers, especially when she turned into a puddle!

Yes I do, and I thought it was pretty cool. Got the books from the library as well, then I picked up Soviet Strike of the Strike Series. About five minutes in I think, "Hey Its That Guy" as General Earle and Vince Carter are the same actor. That was pretty cool, before I started seeing that all the time.

The only thing I remember is that they used "Kreb" as a fake brand a lot.

[up][up] Did they really? That's really cool... that was the fake brand in Pete and Pete.

The only episode I remember specifically was the one where her Black Best Friend sold a hat to the pharma company and said it belonged to "the subject," but it turned out he just bought a new hat and spray painted it.

Funnily enough I can't remember plots that dealt with the company trying to capture Mack but I can remember things like "The episode where her best friend wanted to beat a high school sports record" and "The episode where her best friend gets a job sprinkling black pepper on people's clam chowder at a restaurant."

I liked the show when I was younger but I can't remember much about it. I only remember the company hunting her and I also remember her using her powers to turn into a puddle.

Wasn't there a fencing episode? Had the goofy idea of fencing sabers with easily removable tips.

I only recognize the name. I never payed much attention to live action nick shows that weren't Kenan & Kel or All That.

It got a proper ending, which is nice for an old kids show. Can't remember how good the writing was or wasn't, but I remember hating when the silvery CGI "puddle" was treated like it actually looked like a puddle of water.....

The CGI got better over the course of the series.

I remember the show rather fondly, it was in the Nick era where they were aiming for "mature kids shows" that were not meant to be comical or really themed in any way, like Are You Afraid Of The Dark and scary stories. Now that I think about it, it's quite rare to have a tv show like that AT ALL today, usually they are comedies with enough bite to appeal to adults as well as the younger crowd. While I didn't like The Amanda Show very much, their Deconstructive Parody "Moody's Point" probably killed that genre.

I also had a crush on Larisa Oleynik, like probably most boys at the time. Half the fun of 10 Things I Hate About You was seeing her grown-up.

I loved this show as a kid, but I barely remember it now but I really want to watch it now. I recall a black best friend, only like two or three people she shared the secret with, and there was some running subplot about someone who crawled around in the vents of the big facility responsible for Alex Mack's powers.

Wait, we were supposed to think she was water? I thought it was supposed to be all silvery and weird to indicate the strangeness of the ability.

May have been Depending on the Writer, but there's at least one time I remember a janitor tried to mop her up like she was a puddle.

I only have vague memories, but I remember the Grand Finale and final scene. Also a lot of the earlier episodes, and it's spiritual successor The Journey of Allen Strange.

I remember reading all the books from the series in the library before I watched it on TV. For some reason when I tried to watch it on TV I kept getting the "hey remember that time?" episode full of flashbacks. But that aside, I really liked what I saw/read of it even if it's vague in my memory.

I actually owned one of the Alex Mack books where she and her friends go to a desert or something, but it's been a while since I've read that book so I don't remember too much about what happened in that book.

I just got the first season DVD from Netflix for a rewatch. It was pretty good, and I liked that she had friends who weren't in on the secret without the kind of "I have to tell them" drama that other shows would create.

I remember the scene of her sneezing and bursting into a billion droplets vividly. It wasn't horrifying or anything, rather it was awesome.

Anybody else wished she had been caught by the chemical plant? Just to see what they would really have done with her?

They did. Twice. Once a All Just a Dream where no one knew who she was, going to the plant her father doesn't recognize her, she's captured, and Vince injects her with GC-161. The other is the second to last episodes when Alex has had enough and infiltrates the plant to expose Danielle Atron, who is expecting this, gets Alex to where she can't escape (or so Atron thinks) then blows up the plant.

Of course Alex escapes, and at the same time Dave who for a while had pulled a Heel–Face Turn goes to the FBI about what's happening, where the investigator doesn't believe him until he name drops someone the investigator hates (Elias Griffin from memory,) discovers Griffin is an investor and knows Atron's secrets and she's arrested.
