I've already made a thread about this topic a while back but I don't want to revive it.
Anyways, I sometimes wonder when if ever will we see the possibility of console manufacturers releasing apps that would allow mobile devices to interface with the console in a way that the mobile device could be used in place of the controller for certain games.
Currently, the closest thing we got is Smartglass for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Now according to this page Smartglass does indeed allow the phone or tablet to become a controller, but I don't any games that prides itself on this feature.
Now why do I think this is worth talking about? Because I think it would help to bridge the gap between the mobile audience and the console audience.
