By the way, the "All hail the Virtual Boy" meme is actually based upon one of the dream sequences of the actual game, if one playthrough video of the Japanese version's of any indication.
In fact, the dream actually seems to be about Miis worshiping various items (in one gameplay video, they were worshiping a small slice of cake, for which which the chant would translate somewhat to "All hail the small piece of cake!" in the final version.) You also get items for watching the dream (in the case of this type of dream, whatever they've worshiped, thus hinting that the Virtual Boy is an actual item in the game!)
Incidentally, some dreams are interactive in-game - the "factory" one that was seen in the Nintendo Direct videos actually allows you to control the machines as they dunk the clones of the dreaming Mii into what is apparently some kind of souce before moving onto the next patch, and you can tell said machine to move on to the next patch even without dunking! Another one is when the Mii becomes some sort of stick figure puppet you can move around on the touch screen.

The songs shown in the Direct kind of irk me, but I'm definitely going to get it anyway (assuming I can afford it).
It's kind of funny that it's being released on the anniversary of New Leaf.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — Ultimatepheer-chuckles- I also noticed that a big RPG (Bravely Default) was released around the same time as Fire Emblem Awakening. With the same limited stock issue even. -grumble grumble-
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogGod, I wish I had a 3DS. Also, those are the liveliest synthesized voices I've ever heard.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerThis is insane! I need to get a 3DS ASAP.
So you can apparently do this.
-goes to Amazon- Okay, I could get a used pink one for ninety bucks and...ooh, the used red one is eighty-six!
Looking for some stories?-nods- Better make sure the memory is cleared on that 3DS if it's used.

Persona 3 Portable LiveblogThis YouTube user has been making several gameplay videos that offer a more in-depth look at what it's really like. I think some people would get bored with it after a while, but it still seems like my kind of thing.
Looking for some stories?>WHO WILL SAMUS MARRY
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987As long as you don't hear every single line of dialog in a week or less.
I'm talking about you, Animal Crossing New Leaf.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerA bump for the game being released tomorrow? Also reviews are coming in. And right now, it's getting mixed reviews. Some love it and some don't. And those that were negative always referenced the controversy.
The big turn off is probably that you can't directly influence anything that strongly. Which...yeah I can see it turning off those who like to control things to a strong degree.

Persona 3 Portable LiveblogFiancee already has it. She had to avoid making her Mii fall in love with Dr. Eggman. XD
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Oh dear.
And I also forget that it's technically available today. (And right now, if you go to the E Shop) And I'm getting shipped in today. (Hooray Amazon Prime)
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogXD. Wow, that is a problem.
I probably won't be playing until the 25th, but I'm still excited!
I don’t even know anymore.I'll be getting it either later tonight or sometime tomorrow, given my mom's important visit at work coming up.
Got my copy. Right now, Ken and I seem to be hitting it off, along with Mitsuru and my boyfriend.
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogIsabelle and K.K. Slider are in concert together. Cell is talking about Mr. Satan's lost socks on the news. Homestar's flubbing his lyrics while Besca just keeps trying to ignore him.
This is the greatest thing ever.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI'm thinking of buying this game, but I'm not sure yet. Is this one of those games where it'll be funny for a few hours, but then there's not really much to do but observe the same interactions and such over again? Or is there tons of content and actual stuff to do?
Is there any sort of purpose or drive, like unlocking stuff or some sort of goal?
Are there any online functions/interactivity? If I opt out of said functions will I be missing a huge part of the game?

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Bleating Heart did a series of the old game. It got really boring after a while.
Unfortunatly there isn't too much to do and you unlock most things in a day or two. In the original Japanese, everything was unlocked through Streepass from what I know of but here, since Streetpass isn't really reliable, they unlock via actions the Mii do.
I'm getting entertained but that's mostly because I'm eagerly waiting for ships.
And there isn't any online, outside of potentially posting your screenshots. Streetpass is important still as you get a unique article of clothing as your export, but nothing else.

If anyone's looking for a good Tomodachi Life blog, I recommend this one.
I don’t even know anymore. Why do I put swimsuits and bath towels on all my Miis. Help.

"All hail the Virtual Boy!"
Do I need to say more? What? I do? Oh fine.
As the latest Nintendo Direct revealed, the Tomodachi series is coming outside of japan! I never even heard of it before, but whatever.
So far my impressions are that it's very The Sims and Animal Crossing like, but with the boring and annoying crap cut out, like having to teach Sims to use toilets without supervision, or the time passing in-game according to the systems calendar.
It seems like a Widget Series, which in general are crack pots filled with humor, so depending on the price tag, I might pick it up.
