Whatever colour it's going to be, it's going to be a vivid one.

/starts throwing acorns at the duck.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."When Gaz gets revived he's explaine that he searched his empire for girls with limited, monochromatic fashion sense in order to make them his daughters.
Will the coffin Vivi ends up dragging around actually be for Gillette?
I watched all the episodes in a bingy after friend recommended me, and I really liked it. Also, the studio must had lots of trust in the anime if they announced second season immediately.
It's a split cour show; it was produced as two season affair from the get-go.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Licensing news!
Goddamn it, Sentai Filmworks! Stop stealing promising licenses from Funimation! Compared to them, you're way out of your league!
<Watches the final episode>
So, basically: Fredrica is crazy awesome, Gillette's "death" turned Vivi into a Chaika, Akari ruined Tooru and Chaika's moment as per usual, and Tooru might become a dragoon cavalier.
Yeah, okay, I want that season 2 stat.
One thing I don't get is people seem to know next to nothing about what the Gaz Empire and its Emperor were really like, for a threat that united the world against it.
Also, Vivi was a Chaika in disguise? This is starting to become like Battlestar Galactica 2003. "There are many copies; and they have a plan"
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.I just realized something.
The Chaika we saw at the beginning of the first episode, talking with That thing, wasn't White Chaika but Blue Chaika.
Pretty clever.
Actually, I wonder if all the Chiaka's went through that? It's just kinda hard to tell them apart without color coded clothing.
Blue!Chaika didn't have that at the beginning of her journey, she just ran into it at some point.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.I wonder if the story will address the fact that Chaika is actually a fabricated personality occupying a body of some poor girl. Well, seeing as out protagonists are of... dubious moral quality I doubt they will actually care, but It'd be weird if that is never even dressed.
They'll likely get back to it sooner or later, much like the issue of why people say that Gaz was this evil emperor that needed to be put down, but there's suspiciously nothing actually describing him being an evil tyrant.
Well, he was apparently responsible for a devastating war that's scarred the continent, so odds on him being a perfect beacon of wonderfulness aren't great.
What's precedent ever done for us?Is that the war that everyone seems to miss? Also, wasnn't that war caused by people trying to take him down?
We actually don't know. We don't know anything definite. Whoever hushed things up is good.
Toru and the gang do pass through a couple ruined cities on their journey, if memory serves me correct.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Second Season started:
It seems that the flying ship incident had bigger ramifications than we could have suspected. It seems that this new world order is pretty fragile. And it's seems it's all according to keikaku.
Chaika looses against one of the Eight Heroes, Claudia... who's really nice and invites her home. They still have to beat her if they want the remain tho.
I'm okay witch Chaika losing. The Eight Heroes didn't come off looking good in first season, so it's nice to see that they actually were a real deal. Also, this is an occasion for Chaika to improve.
It seems Vivi is not totally Chaika. I wonder where it will go from now on.
All in all a strong start for the new season.
Season 2, episode 1. In which Chaika is short of Chaika and Chaika needs shortening.
OP is kinda generic and bland.
So that's the big guy himself. Can't really get a good impression on him, but he seems intimidating enough. And in the process of a Thanatos Gambit.
The Overwarming. Is she trying to cook witrh her MAMR again?
As You Know, they even mentioned the trope.
The Heavy Wind. And now she's trying to put out the fire she accidentally caused while trying to cook?
And then the food fights back. Didn't know she was that bad at cooking.
Those random soldiers look very generic.
Very polite opponent, she is.
Supposed to have beheaded her... Well, it certainly adds up.
Flop.
Being on the same side improves your chances of knowing people's weaknesses.
And then that guy appears for her. Not unexpected.
Very much introduction episode again, as it's kinda slow, but it's about par for the series. But as a first episode, it's solid, and provides a good ground to grow on.
Check out my fanfiction!Hello again, Chaika.
- Looks like Gaz's death was only the beginning. Of something he's cooking.
- What's this? A hero who's actually humble, well-off, not depressed, sane, and not dead? Sweetness! And she hasn't lost her edge in a fight either.
- Shortened incantations are quite beneficial. Chaika's gonna raise her game.
- Being a dragoon cavalier really is like pressing the I Win button, it seems.
- So Vivi's half-Chaika at the moment. And Guy's being his cryptic self.
Claudia's specialty with short incantations makes sense when you realise that her Gundo is a shotgun compared to Chaika's sniper rifle.
Eventually Touru will bite the bullet and take up the offer of becoming a dragoon cavalier, but it'd probably require serious motivation since it may or may not interfere with his saboteur abilities going off one throw-away comment made by the dragoon in question.
And the whole Chaika clone army thing thats going on is giving me a major Doctor Who vibe. Specifically the last Tennant and Master episode. Coupled with the sudden elaboration on how magic works, interesting ideas about what Gaz had whatshisface do.
Wasn't there some foreshadowing last season about the Eight Heroes all having bad things happen them? 'Cause that sure doesn't seem to apply to Claudia.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Wasn't able to go beyond the OP for the first ep lol. Proper watching will have to wait. Anyway, I prefer the older OP song.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Definitely. I liked the season 1 OP, and as I mentioned, the season 2 OP is kind of bland.

Purple, obviously. It's not like they're going to force her to get a new wardrobe.
