Does Not Illustrate: Zombie Apocalypse

I know we have an admin request on the image, but could someone explain to me why I'm supposed to get "zombies" from that image? Looks like a crowd of running people to me.

I don't mind the current, but I'd prefer a tighter crop so the gore and rot effects are more clear. I'll ask Eddie about it.

I know that running zombies have become all the rage lately, but zombies will always best be known as the slow moving shamblers that they are. Most of the ones in that picture don't even look all that dead. Resident Evil (games or movies) or Highschool Of The Dead would work nicely.

First we should ask if changing the pic is an option. I take it Fast Eddie used the admin hammer after a contentious IP long past?

Personally I think the crop is an improvement, but I agree there's better options out there and fortunately they're not that hard to find.

In that case I would think a specific suggestion would be okayed or not. Have one?

I like the first one the best, but really, it's a matter of preference. In the last one, one of the zombies has a Nicolas Cage face. I'm not a fan of the current, but this isn't going to go anywhere unless we get approval from upstairs.

I like Going to Wonderville because it shows a good number of hostile zombies who look like zombies, and an otherwise uninhabited city.

And if none of those don't work, we could always just post a picture of teenagers who are all simultaneously looking at their cell phones...

BTW, I believe 8.1 is from The Walking Dead comic. I never read the comic, but it looks like the art style, and all sources point to that.

I think that's enough consensus for 8.1, but… well, Willbyr, could you ask Eddie if he'd be okay with changing this?

I've gone ahead and put up the cropped version, tagged the page to note this thread, and added the suggestions in 8 to an Image Links page. Locking up.
