Not seeing a post that exactly fits what I'm asking for, so here we go... So I'm trying to choose a new title for a Doctor Who/Evangelion crossover fic I have, and I could use some input deciding between the options I've come up with. I've put up an anonymous poll here:

Leave any comments you might have in the thread. Thanks.

Btw, we already have a title suggestion thread somewhere around here...

Yeah, but those seemed to be more for people looking for title ideas. I've got the ideas, I just need help narrowing them down.

You might get more/better results if you add a summary. Normally, the title needs to match the story and the titles you have seem to tell me very different things.

How about Neon Genesis Doctor Who?

[up][up] Well, here's the TV Tropes page for the work: [1]. And here's the summary that's on Fanfiction.net. (Problem is, I've never been entirely happy with that, either...)

Fourteen-year-old Shinji Ikari finds himself being mentored by the greatest English teacher in the multiverse. The real question is, will the strange man called the Doctor help save the world - or end it?

Tell you what - if it helps, let me explain my reasoning (or maybe just the joke) behind each option. Maybe that'll help. Minor spoilers for the plot follow.

Fall of Angels - the enemies in the story are called Angels (no, not the weeping kind). And the story takes place during a span of time between the months of August and December.

The Evangelion Error - It's a crossover with Evangelion, there's a terrible mistake that's going to be made (or maybe already has been made), and it fits the usual Doctor Who title paradigm. ("The Sontaran Stratagem," "The God Complex," etc.).

The Apocalypse of Shinji - Story deals with the potential end of the world, and Shinji's the name of the companion. Also, plays off of a bunch of Gnostic document titles - "The Apocalypse of Adam," "The First Apocalypse of James," etc. - and contains the usual double meaning of "apocalypse." (These days, we associate it with the end of the world. But in Greek, it actually means "revelation.")

The War Scroll - the name of one of the Dead Sea Scrolls. There's a war, and the Dead Sea Scrolls are involved in the plot (as per Evangelion).

Book of Mysteries - another one of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The Teaching of Shinji Ikari - the story is about the Doctor mentoring a child soldier named Shinji Ikari. Plus it plays off another Gnostic document — "The Teaching of Silvanus."

Apocrypha of Evangelion - "apocrypha" means "secret teaching." That said, I've been lead to understand that a lot of Evangelion fics use this word / title, so maybe we should just leave that one alone.

That help at all?
