Last I checked earlier today Helix Fossil had died so that Pidgeot could live. Did they ever get it back?
It looks like they've been stuck in the same maze in the last few hours. Quite amusing, though tbh I'm surprised it's gone on for this long.
This sums up the fandom pretty well.◊
Also it sounds like they managed to get Helix Fossil back!
They've now added a new system - anarchy and democracy. Anarchy mode is when everyones inputs are put in, democracy is when everyone's votes are tallied up and the winning move per econd is enacted. Of course, switching between th two modes still only takes one person.
There's also a Twitch plays Super Mario Bros, also by user votes. From the looks of things, they've spent nine hours and 2600 lives trying to beat Level 1-1.

They're at Pokemon Tower in Lavender City right now. Not sure what floor they're in.
Okay, I just watched that one for like 5 minutes. I don't think I can stand watching it. I can only tolerate watching someone fall into the same pit over and over so much.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I see they finally got out of that maze.
When every human mind has been uploaded to a computer and sent on a voyage across the universe, we're all just going to be playing "Twitch plays Pokemon" for eternity, aren't we?
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)Checked the Super Mario Bros one, and to my amazement, they've actually reached Level 1-2. Granted it looks like the reasons behind that is because less people are watching/playing, so there's less conflict over the controls. That, and the admin has given Mario temporary invincibility when he respawns so he doesn't immediately die upon touching the first Goomba.

They're STILL in Pokemon Tower. Goodness gracious.
At least they're making progress. They've beaten a couple trainers. I think there's only one more floor to go.

Well, there's some news coverage for you.
Of course how they somehow end up being so incredibly fail at the game is unbelievable sometimes. The 1hp pidgeot whirlwind will go down in history.
Poor, poor Abby.
Bleye knows Sabers.I'm surprised they get anything done.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Democracy seems to be doing little to clear the Safari.
At least they caught AEWWWWV the Rhyhorn.
Oh, it was working up until they caught that Rhyhorn. The nicknaming process made people restless, thus, the chat reverted to anarchy and proceeded to waste all the remaining Safari Balls on an Exeggcute. ;_;
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Well, the Safari Zone is basically the last real hurdle, right? As long as they manage to clear it before they run out of money, they should be home free.
Unless they release all their pokemon on Cinnabar Island or some shit.
I wonder if they'll skip the island between Cinnabar and Fuchsia by flying to Pallet Town instead? It would definitely be the smart thing to do, but "the smart thing to do" and "Twitch plays Pokemon" have so far been mutually exclusive.
There's still Victory road.
Well, yeah, but there is no hard limit on how often they can attempt Victory Road. If they run out of money before clearing the Safari Zone, it's over. Unless the admin mods the game and gives them extra money, but that would be cheating.
I heard somewhere that if you're out of money, you can still play, but you're given 1 safari ball. Can't confirm if it's true or not.
GOLD TEETH: Acquired.
All they got left in the Safari Zone is Surf, and it's not too far away!
EDIT:
Person in house: You're the first person to reach the SECRET HOUSE!
Person in chat: If we're the first person to reach the house, that doesn't say much about people in the world.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Aww, yeah, they managed to take Venomoth into the team. Shame they decided to leave with only 5 pokemon in the party, though. I think they left Dig Rat.
I love the internet sometimes.
Someone set up an emulated game of Pokemon Red on Twitch to respond to the commands given in the chat. The end result is pure magic.

So far, they managed to free their starter pokemon, and have consulted the helix fossil 750 separate times.
Jump right in and join in the madness.
(Considering this is mainly a new media spectacle thing and less about the game itself, I figured it belonged here)
