Much interest...

Good to be backGiven the locations you list, I assume this is Hyrule circa The Ocarina of Time era? An OoT Zelda RP gains my interest, yes, but I must ask if there's any plans for this beyond just a setting?
You are reading this.Yeah, I was thinking OOT. I think the Great Sea would be a bit too restricting for this kind of RP, and I haven't really played many games in the Defeat Timeline, so I don't know as much about the Hyrule of that timeline.
As for plot, it depends what you guys would like to see. I could do a traditional plot, with players playing as Link or a Sage or something, and trying to stop Ganon, or I could do a more freeform thing, with Hyrule Castle Town as a sort of hub, with players going on quests and stuff.
OOT is the "splitting point" for three separate timelines in the time travel screwery that is the Legend of Zelda timeline, but I digress.
Between doing the traditional Zelda story arc and a freeform hub with quests, I'd prefer the latter. Maybe even imply that the usual Link vs Ganon arc is going on, but we aren't a part of it, Hero of Another Story style.
You are reading this.I've only ever player Ocarina of Time, Link to the Past, and like the first eleven minutes of Wind Waker. Am I massively boned or can I get by?
Also do you have to have swords and stuff, or can I just be a Goron dude with a Longshot? No wait, two Longshots!
Also yeah, hub is good. But it might be good to have some in-game reason to make all our characters want to adventure together, instead of just 'because they're player characters'.

Link is the Hero of Time... We are the Heroes of Space... maybe?
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?Yeah, as long as you've played Oo T, you should be fine, as that's where we're getting our setting.
Yeah, you guys won't be restricted to swords. Zelda has loads of cool shit, so restricting to to swords would be kids lame.
As for a reason for adventuring, maybe all the PC's are part of some sort of guild?
Are you guys okay with just the Oo T races? I don't wanna start this and then have someone complain because they wanted to be a Locomo/Kikwi/Rito.

Yeah, I'm pretty interested. I would be interested in playing Rito, but if it doesn't end up working, that's cool.
If I know what I'm doing, then I'll do it amazingly. If I don't know what I'm doing, I'll fail spectacularly.Just a question... if we wanted to play a magic using character, would we be limited to the three spells in OoT? Or could we invent new spells or something along those lines?
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?It would have to be a spell that had some connection to Zelda, I suppose. Like you could use the Ice and Fire attacks used by those Gerudo Twins, or maybe you could play someone from the Twilight Realm with powers like that.
Hmm... What if we had an overarching plot, where in there's been some sort of time shenanigans, which causes nothing except races which aren't temporally native to Oo T to be playable? It could also provide something interesting for players to have a few quests about.
OK And I think the Time Shenanigans sound great... I could be a Twili
EDIT:Or maybe even one of the original Interlopers... Hmmm...

/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?Interest here, too.
It's been fun.
Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
Basically, an RP set in Hyrule, with all the areas from the games existing (Kakariko, Lake Hylia, Lon Lon Ranch, The Lost Woods), and all the species playable (Stuff like Gorons, Zoras, Kokiri, the usual Zelda fare). Anyone have any interest?
