Salvaging "Battle Royale With Cheese"

Recently, I was thinking about using "Battle Royale With Cheese" somewhere again. It's a snappy title, but completely unfitting for the trope that was once called that (Climactic Battle Resurrection). And at some point, I realized that it could be a title for the occassions when Blood Sport and similar events are Played For Laughs. That happens often enough in dark comedies with sci-fi setting. So now I wanna ask, does anyone else think we should put that trope name to use again?

It's snappy, but the real problem is even if we find a trope that fits the title better, no one will ever be able to figure out the trope from the title alone. It could just mean too many things.

Too late for this discussion? In any case, I feel like this is actually a worthy Trope to resurrect. However, its most successful incarnations are usually in Edgar Wright movies.

The argument for this trope might be stronger if someone can think of examples where the cheesy final battle is mocks its own placements as a "climactic moment", which only makes sense if the rest of the story has the same farcical tone.

It was used by Mark Kermode to describe 'The Hunger Games'
