It retains EVERYTHING about the original film. Make Channing Tatum grow a mullet, make Clint Eastwood the bad guy, have...I dunno, Emma Stone as the girl. And Terry Funk is STILL Terry Funk.

What would be the point of that? It's perfectly fine as it is, Sofia Coppola and all. If anything, it's a fitting end for the trilogy. Don't forget - the Corleones are scum bags - sharp suited scum bags but still scum bags. Having everything fall to bits at the end for Poppa Scum Bag was sweet.
