I think the only cause for the image on Misplaced Wildlife to be moved to Polar Bears and Penguins would be if the latter one is considered a Memetic Mutation. It's a popular funny image, though I'm not sure it would qualify as a meme by itself.
Other than that, both images are about of the same quality.
While it's usually better to have an image not depicting a subtrope on a supertrope page, it's still better than nothing, and in this case there's no cause for confusion about the difference between the subtrope and supertrope, so unless a better image is suggested it should stay.
Check out my fanfiction!So-so on the move. This page has several examples that should probably be on Polar Bears and Penguins.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe penguin is good.
I like the penguin in the desert. Cropped and at wiki size:
I'm also loathe to replace the pic on Polar Bears and Penguins...that makes me smile every time I see it.
The penguin in the desert pic is good- fits the trope quite well.
Bump; any other thoughts on 6?
It works well.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. That works OK.

This has enough dust on it and enough votes for the overall concept that I think we can roll with the desert penguin. It's up and tagged; caption or no?
We could just go with the classic, "I knew I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque"
Or perhaps, "I walked across the desert with a map and no brain."
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. No consensus on a caption; locking up.
The image for that trope also fits well on Polar Bears and Penguins, and maybe even better there. An image that describes this trope, but not Polar Bears will be better, but I have no suggestions right now.
