Does Not Illustrate: Chronic Pet Killer

The image seems to have nothing to do with pets being killed. The caption only distracts from the trope even more.

Yeah, that's an easy pull seeing as though it's an example, it's a bad image choice. I can think of a couple examples that could work though.

Considering the number in the horse's name, and the thoughts, I'd say it illustrates. Not a great pic, but it's not pullable material.

I dunno, I personally don't see riding horses as "pets," which would dip it into Not An Example territory.

A very weak Keep Until Better Image Suggested for me.

It's also a bonus if you've seen The Never Ending Story and you know what happens to the original Artax. Keep Until Better Image Suggested, but I'd favor something better if offered.

[up][up][up][up]Tropes Are Not Narrow. The horse in that situation fills the same function, as the point is more to establish the character owning the pet as reckless rather than it strictly being a pet.

How about this as a possible alternate? (Source: Video for "Mr. Mom" by Lonestar.)

[up] That's certainly direct...maybe captioned "Elmyra's backyard?"

[up]Maybe "Elmyra Duff's backyard" to pin the reference a little more closely. I like that image, and I think we should start voting on it.

The quality on this isn't fantastic; if chosen, can somebody pull a similar frame from the source?

The Simpsons did that gag too. After (inadvertently) killing all their cats, cut to the backyard with several headstones in a row.

Still looking for the image.

Upside-down fish = dead fish. I like 15 better than the current image. 9 is good also.

I can't even see that the fish in #15 is upside-down, so I'll stick with #9 as well.

When we have enough consensus for the image (which we currently don't)

9 is good, especially if we can find a high-quality image of it, but I still prefer it over current

[up]That was the best quality I could get, unless someone has a video capture card and enough patience to see if CMT or GAC airs the video anytime in the near future.

9 is good. You can tell something's clearly wrong with the guy who owns that yard when it comes to pets.

I can't even tell that the fish in 15 is upside-down, so that's not good.
