That was quite nice backstory. How can such a cute girl have such a bastard father? I'm all for wanting to contribute to society or the world, but don't go around pushing those ideals upon others forcefully.
As for the whole suddenly appearing side effects thing, as we can tell, no one has the same age, so that's not the factor. The time since their minimums first activated is also probably not a factor. Which means we'll be getting closer to the mystery of what minimums actually are. Now I'm wondering what Art's side effect would be. Or Nice. This whole side-effect thing is likely to be why Art's doing what he's doing.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueI'm all for depowering people if particularly dangerous side effects are manifesting, but if depowering them leaves them catatonic? Not so good.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Episode 4:
- Honey, your dad is terrible. He's the type of guy who'll never change his views, even if threatened with death. No dad should be happy that their little pumpkin's calling in life is to kill people...
- Side-effects suddenly popping up. They're kinda like renumerations. I wonder if the entire team is gonna have side-effects. But then Doktor would just call them a bunch of incompetents. Grrr...
They already had something like remunerations from the start, which just make me wonder more about these side effects appearing now.
Gasuke-ossan ;_;
This time's more of a set-up episode than anything. Hoping the next episode'll be intense, considering that preview.
Murasaki is a great wife.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueEpisode 5:
- So Minimum Holders getting high might be related to an incident that occurred three years ago...
- Cute plates.
It really should've been Usatora. - Theo and Rei appear for the first time this season. And Rei's so snarky.
- Art and Freemum join forces. For freedom!
- Gasuke, you dug too deeply... Darn it, he was a cool old dude. Ya happy, Art? No, you're not. But you've no right to cry, either. You can only pay what you owe!
- The preview... What's with that Skyward Scream? Grr, bad feelings abound...

so I catched up with both seasons since I just discovered this gem. I love it.
the final battle of the first season was amazing.
why the hell is Art acting like this?
GASUKEEEEEEEEEEE. why?! DAMN THOSE FREEMUM ASSHOLES!. Gasuke was a great guy up until the end. and I'm worried about what might happen to Murasaki. that Skyward Scream and the Power Degeneration affecting everyone right now doesn't send a good picture about his future
'Mr Lion' was so adorable in that scene.
Murasaki's true self resurfaces. Also is perfect timing a Minimum?
I laughed my ass off at the first Minimum punch Murasaki hit with. Just watch the body land.
Damn.
I hope Murasaki is not dead. (given next ep title, it's not likely) but this Seiji Kishi we're talking about, I won't get my hopes too high)
Episode 6:
- Huh, I thought Murasaki got over being inferior to Nice. Guess I was wrong.
- Three and Honey were so adorable.
- Art and the Freemums took advantage of Murasaki's straight arrow personality. Now, Art's the KYUUSEIOU! Murasaki beating up Art was kinda fun though.
- And that's the second time a phone call went unanswered. Seriously guys, you arrive or make connections too late to make a difference. And it happens a lot!
Goodnight sweet prince. May you rest in peace. And Art get his comeuppance.
So, as long as his heart is destroyed, he revives. At least we have a solution against that.

"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueWell, they could always rip his heart out...
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Murasaki is alive, but will never Minimum again.
A light hearted breather episode was not entirely expected, but welcome.

I don't really think it worked. This isn't a gag anime, so having an episode focus entirely on gags just felt off.
Give the God Eater game thread some love! The gags were nice but way out of place with the series. Considering so far S2 has gotten much darker, jumping back to its gag-ish tones doesn't work as well as when this was still S1. An entire episode wasted...
With that said Birthday has great taste.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueEpisode 7:
- Murasaki's now a normal. So I suppose this is the fate of Minimum Holders who overuse their Minimum.
- Did not see the comedy train comingnote . Even Freemum got in on the funnies.
- Pseudo-horror sequence. What did I learn here? People who lost their Minimums are here. Oh, and Three is totally not afraid of ghosts.
- Oh, why hello there, Momoka. Thought I'd never see you again.
Well that explained a lot. And was pretty tragic at that.
How did her minimum save his life back then though...?
Give the God Eater game thread some love!...He was killed by a Minimum bullet?
Episode 8:
- Momoka's super important! Because she's Saikyou. ....Aw, I'm gonna miss her flower girl persona.
- I thought Hajime's Minimum made her stronger or something. Turns out, she must have been naturally strong and agile. Her real Minimum is...Anti-Minimum. Also, no wonder Murasaki's a normal now. And why everyone around her are having "side-effects".
- ...Oh. So Koneko and Barkeep are agents working for the Minimum Agency...
- Nice and guns really don't get along well.
- Great. Doktor's coming back. Grrr....

Nice and Hajime are really adorable this episode.
Am I the only one that misread the title as Hamtaro?
The Protomen enhanced my life....Yes.
Episode 9:
- A fun day for the Hamatora team. Hajime was motivated to do something again, Nice and Hajime had quite the adorable moment at the end, lots of head cutting thanks to Honey, and Rei being magnificently "evil". Yep, a nice day...
- ...Then Birthday's Soap Opera Disease wore its ugly head. Stay away, verminous plague!
- Two extremes lead to one conclusion. I smell a turf war over yonder.
Drop dead, Doktor!
Episode 10:
- Man, you really do enjoy human suffering huh, Momoka?
- Birthday and Chiyuu aren't looking so hot, Ratio got pummeled into the ground by Nice (because it amused Momo), and the chance to grab the Healing Minimum was never there.
- Oh, and the home base has been compromised! Darn it! It was a bad day for the gang overall!
Episode 11:
- Now I'm really sad that Cafe Nowhere went boom.
- If Freemum didn't jump to the side of evil before, this episode definitely solidified their jump. Also, some turf war. Doktor and his cronies did jack!
- So Art was ticked at Gasuke's death. Well, since this episode erased all of my empathy for Freemum, Ishigami getting iced was well deserved.
- Crap! Nice died. Again. This time it may be permanent. And Nihilism's the order of the day. By the way, this episode kinda mirrors the first season's episode 11 well, don't ya think? Only, it's worse by a mile!
- You did it, Art. You completed what you set out to do. Nice is dead, and Birthday will be claimed by that disease of his without fail, but those are minor inconveniences, right? Whatever, Art. Just...whatever.

This makes no sense. Why is everyone suddenly developing side-effects? They were perfectly fine for an entire season.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!
