This is brand new (shiny new even) and definitely worth your time : http://youvechangedrecords.bandcamp.com/album/what-am-i-going-to-do-with-everything-i-know
A new The Weather Station EP, the project of artist Tamara Lindeman, who already released two excellent folk albums under this name, The Line and All of it was Mine (in 2009 and 2011 respectively). Very beautiful, melodic, hushed tones and quiet vocals. Exactly the kind of music that makes me feel better when I'm depressed.
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.Stanley Clarke with his band just released Up, his latest album.
Titan AE is finally getting a HQ, proper CD release of the orchestral score by Graeme Revell. Label is La La Records.
Am I doing this right?
My angry rant blog!Orbital announce split after 25 years.
To be fair, things moved on and they probably didn't had the same endurance they had back in the 90's and early 2000's. Too bad I never got to see them.

Who wants to bet they'll reunite to record yet another album sometime next decade?
I didn't write any of that.I thought about that possibility as well. Who knows if/when it will happen.
The article did say that both of them intend to keep making music individually. If one or both of them were giving up music altogether, I'd believe that Orbital's gone for good.
I didn't write any of that.New Run The Jewels is released for free. Run that hype train
"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl PilkingtonWell, that suddenly gives "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" a whole new meaning!
Really, WTF. Not only is the news very out of left field but the timing is even more bizarre. This happens JUST when the band is re-launching after a hiatus and losing a key member. I think I saw an interview with him a few months ago where he said he was committed to the band as long as it lasts, and now this happens!

The charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence.
Coachella 2015 will take place over two weekends(April 10-12 and April 17-19) in Indio, California. AC/DC , Jack White and Drake will be the headliners. See the lineup here◊.

Rest in Cosmic Peace. A great pioneer.
Anyone remember Grooveshark? It was probably the best music streaming site for quite a few years. They got sued a few years back for not properly securing licenses for the songs they streamed.
Now, they finally got shut down for it.
I'm sad about it, but honestly I haven't used the site in a few years. If this had happened five years ago, this would have hurt a lot more.
I didn't write any of that.- Bows head.

One of the world's finest bass players has left us.
Holy crap, that came out of nowhere! That is very sad news. It is scary how quickly cancer can take over. I wonder if the band can legally continue to use the "Yes" name without the sole founding member.
I had the chance to see them in concert last year but I unfortunately couldn't go for some reason. Now I wish I had been able to go...
It hasn't really been Yes in my eyes for about a decade anyway. It still sucks though, Squire was one of my heroes when it came to bass playing
"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl PilkingtonThat is a dilemma I've had as a young fan of older music: Is it really worth paying money to see these older bands, who have their glory days behind them, are often bastardized versions with replacement members, and are basically touring as a nostalgia act, or should I just go ahead and use my chance to see these people perform while they're still alive and willing to tour?
I saw Aerosmith a couple of years ago and they certainly brought the energy and delivered, but they at least have all their original members, and from what I've heard they're one of the exceptions. Another issue is the audience. I recently went to a Creedence Clearwater Revisited (basically a CCR tribute band with the original rhythm section) concert with my family, and while it was certainly enjoyable, it was definitely the oldest, dorkiest rock concert I've attended.

My Brightest Diamond's new album, This Is My Hand, came out yesterday. On initial listen, it’s very good.
I didn't write any of that.
