That thumbnail looks promising.
Okay this already looks terrible.
Final verdict: Eh. It was okay. Wasn't feeling the acting much though.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Wow. Just looking at the design looks like it would fail.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWell the acting was dead, the animation was horrible, the jokes were terrible and that Tek guy was just creepy.
The triplet idea is a good one, but I think this is just awful.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here. What is this even from?
Apparently, someone's drug-addled mind.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I only dug it up for good - natured laughs..... Nothing else beyond that - besides it looking ugly, IMHO.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Yeah like many of you, I thought it was just okay.
FUN FACT: this is written, directed and produced by the 2 co-founders of Battery POP!
...Alright, I'll say it.
I can't help but think the characters are Canadian.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefThe co-founders are from and live in New York.
.. And knowing this info does put things into perspective for me. At least these writers are aware of thier target audience.
While it does look ugly, I'll admit it was written well enough that it isn't condescending...

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Can anyone explain to me why he's a bear??
Because bears have never gotten the representation they deserve!
This made my day. Thanks for the brutal honesty! Here's the story - when we first conceived of batteryPOP, my partner Taso and I thought (naively) that we would create all the content ourselves. We needed proof of concept fast, so we came up with Molly Pop, the story of a Junior High School "Robin Hood" character who helps the less popular kids by manipulating the popular kids. Taso, who cut his teeth at Blues Clues and Doug, decided to go with "Canadian" characters since it would be quicker to animate the dialogue. I wouldn't say we totally rushed this, but we definitely tried to crank it out in record time so we would have some original content up on batteryPOP before we launched. We don't think this is an award winning show, but we do think it's cute and has room to get better. And that's my wife playing all 3 sisters! If you'd like more examples of my so-so writing, check out Alien Motel, also on batteryPOP. And Taso's animations are also featured in Chew on That, another original. Right now, our focus for batteryPOP is bringing on existing content from both up&coming and established creators. We've decided to let the pros handle the good stuff, and we're focused on the business side of things and growing batteryPOP's reach. I would absolutely love more feedback on the programs, the site itself, and anything else you guys think we should know. I can take the harsh criticisms, so let 'em fly! Thanks guys. Not even sure anyone will read this post, as the thread is several weeks old, but what the heck! All the best, Greg Alkalay batteryPOP
Powered by KIDS!I keep getting this title confused with LolliRock
On the upside, I been looking through some of the videos. You have a HUGE variety here, and that's impressive! I hope the site grows!
Thank you Kyun! We're working hard to bring on new content every day. I'll keep posting here when we have new titles I think will interest you! And if you know of anyone making animation that may be a good fit for batteryPOP, please have them email us at creators@batterypop.com.
Powered by KIDS!Maybe we should change the title of this thread to Batter POP, or simply start a new thread.
sorry, didn't mean to hijack it!
Powered by KIDS!No problem. this thread needs more attention.
Yeah, I got your message. I don't think you need my blessing - even if I'm not a fan of everything I see, you're already doing what needs to be done: promote and innovate Western animation on a better medium than what's out there now. I think that's enough.
After all, the internet may just be the new frontier for Western Animation, provided the quality, care, and effort are there. And we could use more people who understand that.
So yeah, (while I like the response) you don't need my approval - just continue to go and kick some ass at this like you were.
