"Creation cannot begin without destruction..."

The sun blazed over a battlefield like a spotlight, showing off a war of epic proportions, or rather, its aftermath. Heroes and villains alike lain on the ground, dead or otherwise heavily wounded. Some struggled to escape to fight for another day, however. One man looked at the battlefield from atop a large quarry. A monstrous man dressed in a white cloak. His head was black and in the strange shape of a cross. His snarling face almost looked like a grin as he saw one person standing unbeaten: A red, pirate-like monster. The pirate monster chuckled as he looked to his fallen comrades.

To obtain something, you must give something up.” He muttered. He heard the rustling of armor and turned around to see one person struggling, not to run, but to fight.

Basco...” A blue samurai with orange-colored armor readied two swords, one which has its blade look similar to a slice of an orange, and the other a black and gold sword with what looked to be a gun melded to its hilt.

So... You still stand, Gaim?” Basco readied his cutlass, though only resting the blade on his shoulder with his right hand.

This... This is my stage now!” Gaim ran towards Basco, swords ready to slash. He shouted, combining his swords together to form a naginata. He pulled away a strange lock that had been split in two on his belt and placed it on the naginata.

LOCK ON! 1... 10... 100... 1000! ORANGE CHARGE!” With that, Gaim’s blades glowed orange. He swung the orange part of the blade towards Basco once he was close to him. At the same time, Basco twisted his left hand and shot Gaim with a pistol that he had not previously seen. However, the shot was not enough to phase Gaim, who managed to land the slash on Basco. Basco shot a few more times before he, along with Gaim, exploded in a fiery blaze. As the smoke cleared, the two fighters fell to the ground, brought down to human forms. Both of the fighters breathed heavily, though Basco’s breathing slowed.

So... that’s how it is... Heh.” Basco soon dissolved into a blood-red cloud of dust. Gaim looked up to the sky, onto the blazing sun. He raised his arm up, trying to grasp the sun with his hand, though he too succumbed to his wounds, his arm dropping to his side. The white-cloaked monster left the battlefield once everything was still and the only sound was the whistling of wind. However, on the other side of the quarry, another cloaked figure arrived. Though now the cloak was black. The figure slightly waved its hand as its eyes glowed a fierce blue light. On its eyes were not pupils, but rather two black x’s, one for each eye. As the glowing began, the dead and wounded also glowed blue, and they all faded away in a bright blue light. All that remained were their weapons, including the Naginata.

JOURNEY THROUGH THE MULTIVERSE: JUST LIVE MORE

The very same Naginata was now shown on a display case in a museum, rusted to a dark brown. A blond-haired girl in a blue uniform showed the weapon alongside a Feudal Japan style painting of the two warriors, though depicted more like humans than the armored rider and pirate monster respectively.

“Nobody knows what time period the battle took place in, or the means of how it happened. Researchers have concluded, however, that the battle took place roughly a century ago, as that’s when explorers found the ruins and artifacts of this historical battle. All that is known was that a devastating battle took place between two massive armies, but with no bodies to be found. Legends say that a god came over and undid the damage brought onto this island, raising everyone from the dead... But that’s just one legend... Any questions before we move to the next exhibit?” She asked an audience of tourists. A kid raised his hand. “Yes, the one in the striped shirt.”

“So... What you’re telling me is that all these superheroes came forth and fought each other?” The kid asked.

“Each other... No. They fought together against a major threat.” The tour guide said.

“Are you sure this is an actual battle and not some weird gimmick for a recreational museum that’s trying to be hip?” The kid asked again.

“What do you mean?” The tour guide asked.

“I mean, seriously? A battle where numerous heroes and villains fought to the death? Heroes and villains from pop-culture? You just got that guy from Man-At-Arms to recreate the weapons for you.” He said. That’s when a man gave a slight cough. The kid turned to see him. He was a man with a black fedora, short brown hair, and wore a black waist coat.

“Well, it’s like Santa Claus. Just like how it’s up to the person to decide if he’s real or fake, you can decide if this battle happened or not.” The man said with a grin. The kid frowned.

“Santa’s fake!?” The kid soon ran off in tears as his parents came to console him.

“Um... Anyways... we should move on. This museum is growing. Each day we’re discovering new things about the island that we can show to you people. Maybe we may build technology off of these things and better our society.” The tour guide said. She led away to another part of the room. “For instance, we had just recovered a giant mechanical falcon with missiles installed to its wingtips.” Her voice distanced. The hated man tried to walk forward, but his shirt was grabbed by a man in a blue shirt. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and had a stubble.

“And just who the hell do you think you are for making that kid cry?” The man asked him.

“The name’s Sawyer. Danny Sawyer. You?” He said with a smug grin.

“Okay, cut the snark! You don’t go around and break people like that!” The man said.

“He’s a heckler. I decided to heckle back. Problem?” Danny kept on with the grin.

“I...” Just then, the man’s phone rang. “Excuse me, I gotta check this.” He said, leaving. Danny soon skipped away from the exhibit to go to the tourists.

When the brown-haired man got into the next room, he took out a strange device that looked like a silver GPS.

“Yes?”

Outside of Earth was a large blue spacecraft with a large red square on the top that almost looked like an M. The spacecraft looked more like a giant disk than an actual spaceship.

Its crew operated inside the ship. Most of them wore black suits with green lines going down from their shoulders to their legs, save for one. Sitting in a large chair in the center of the main bridge was a man with short blue hair. He wore a red military uniform with a black sash, sharing the green lines that the other crew members had. He looked into the holographic screen of the brown-haired man.

“Agent Santos, confirm that you are on Museum Island.” The man said.

“Yeah. I’m on it, Shane.” Santos said.

“Santos! Remember that on the field, you refer to me as Captain Sparks.” Shane said.

“Yeah... Sorry bout that. So, what’s phase two?” Santos asked.

“Phase two goes as follows: we have received word that a group of men have come to speed up the process of the excavation of Museum Island. Prevent them from salvaging anything that could threaten the balance of the Multiverse. Do you copy?” Shane asked.

“Read you loud and clea-” Just then, alarms rang.

“Captain Sparks! Recon units have found the group of men!” One of the crewmates said. A holographic image of two people in white uniforms with silver linings getting off of an apache helicopter showed next to Santos. “There’s only the two, but our Multiform Recognizer had pinpointed their origin point as well as whom they belong to! They’re-”

“The merchants of death... Nicholas, today’s the day you prove your training. Be wary of confronting the group. Their reputation for researching monster-creating weapons is unmatched.” Shane told Nicholas.

“But... I don’t have a weapon to fight with!” Nicholas said.

“That is why I said to be wary. You’re not an overnight hero. I’ll be sending back up for you and inform them of the situation. For now, stay undercover.” Shane said.

“... Roger.” With that, Nicholas hung up. Shane looked at the screen and wondered if Zyguard would be willing to duke it out with Foundation X. He sent the signal for several Zyguard members’ GPS-like devices. On them had the following message: “Requesting backup on Museum Island.”

On the island, right at the site where the final battle took place, the white-cloaked monster oversaw the excavation progress, seeing many white tents and archaeologists working around the clock to unearth the treasures. He heard the sounds of the apache hovering arriving the island. Again he shared that same grin, snapping his fingers.

Come my minions, rise for your master... Come for Museum Island...

So, basic set up: Factionless, post how you’re spending your day either at Museum Island or elsewhere if you want to be teleported to Museum Island. Zyguard, the same applies, but you’ll get a text from the Captain about the need for back-up. Dai-Black Cross Army, the master asks for your summons as well. The creators of other factions can decide either how to write the OP for the rest of the members for their faction or go with Factionless.

"H-Hmg..."

A headache... that's quite a headache. The pain on her back is quite bothersome as well. Slowly, and groggily, a young blond lady clad in chain link armor and green robes opens her eyes to face the light of the sun... a bothersome light that only makes worse her headache.

Blocking her sight with the back of her hand, Link rises to a sitting position groaning all the while at her pain. As her eyes adapted to the light and the headache dulled enough to allow her to think, the green clad woman was able to inspect her unfamiliar surroundings. She was sitting underneath a tree with a couple of broken branches... so that explained the pain on her back. There was grass all around her... but at the distance she heard sounds of people and saw open ground... she was in a garden of some sort?

Then, stuck edge first into the ground a few meters from her, Link saw the one responsible of taking her to this unfamiliar place... the Rune Blade. Memories flashed back into her mind... of going from ruin to ruin, powering up the thing until finally... at the last one a great circle of blue light sucked her into darkness... which somehow led to this place. Crawling over to the blade, Link gave it a frown before pulling it from the ground and back in its scabbard where it belonged.

"You drag me through all of Hyrule and that's not enough, right? Where the hell are we now...?" wonders Link as she peers from behind the shrubs that hid her... to see that she's in some sort of island... with a grand, amazing building before her... that must be a temple or a castle of some sort?

The one thing that gives her pause, though, is the people. There usually is not people in places like this... and they were all dressed in quite strange a strange manner. Not to mention all the weird devices, contraptions and unexplainable inventions that dotted the street. To a farm girl from a Medieval Society the modern world looks incredibly alien... and such a thing drives her to fish her ceremonial mask from her magical pouch and slip it on before fixing the hat on her head and stepping out towards the museum.

Blink. Blink again. Glance at your watch, and discover that the tour still has an hour or so left.
Des sighed. The soldier didn't like guided tours for various reasons; while not being pestered by a micromanaging commander or being on a classified job that's a bit too important for its own good was good, having to listen to a guide prattle about some naginata wasn't that much better. He could feel a yawn forming, and stifled in. Mustn't be impolite.
He looked at his watch again. Time seemed to crawl so slowly. Now a boy was snarking at the guide, and Des rolled his eyes. Fishing through his pack, he withdrew a book and opened it at a random page.

In Norse mythology, the Einherjar (Old Norse: "lone fighters") are those that have died in battle and are brought to Valhalla by Valkyries. In Valhalla, the Einherjar eat their fill of the nightly-resurrecting beast Sæhrímnir, and are brought their fill of mead (from the udders of the goat Heiðrún) by Valkyries. The Einherjar prepare daily for the events of Ragnarök, when they will advance for an immense battle at the field of Vígríðr.
Des stifled another yawn. He knew that particular tidbit of information already.

Meanwhile, in a Multiverse far, far away from the one that held Museum Island, a young man was laughing as he fell to his death. Said man happened to be known as Rufus, who was just starting to get a handle on himself, and was now just remembering the situation he was in. "...Oh, right. The whole'falling-to-my-death' thing. Y'know, in retrospect, this wasn't that great of an idea, even from my mind. I might hit some birds on the way down, which'll slow my decent and only leave me a crumpled mess. Or I'll get non-lethally impaled and die slowly and horribly...I should stop talking."

Consciousness slowly returned to Hugo Jackson, once he was aware and capable of moving he slowly took in his surroundings, he was prone, all of his limbs were fine, he didn't feel any pain and upon rising up into a crouch he saw that his briefcase containing his Efreet MF MKIII armor was with him.

Snatching up the case and looking around he also immediately realized that he was no longer in his private lab. Let's see here, he thought to himself, Walls of unknown architecture, well lit hallways Jackson moved further down the hallway and found himself amongst a group of people and several exhibits, Displays and people of various ages, by the looks of things I would say that I'm in a museum, this rules out the potential of a kidnapping, wait... What did they say they were running a test on today... Right! The teleportation experiment, guess the team forgot to find a way to shield themselves and the area around them. I'll need to see if I'm in the same country or even worse in something else entirely.

Reaching the head of the biggest group, Jackson calmly approached who he guessed was the Tour Guide, "Excuse me, could you tell me exactly what this place is? I know it's a Museum of some kind but for the life of me I've never seen a Museum quite so large."

Jenny sighed as she paced around the halls of the museum. This was her third circuit of the day, with only the occasional tour group to dodge to break up the monotony. At the back of her mind, she was wondering why she’d bothered to take the job here in the first place, but concluded that she needed both the money and the experience if she was going to make anything of her future.

But there she was, working as a security guard in a museum full of the strange and intriguing from days long past. Part of her wanted to just go off to the break room and fall asleep, but she’d already been yelled at once for that. So she was off wearing a grove into the floor for the next five hours until her shift finished.

Why do they even need this much security for a museum, anyway? It’s not like anyone would try and steal this stuff.

At the back of her mind, she sort-of knew that that statement was just bound to make something go horribly wrong.

"Yup. That tasted purple."

At the front of the museum, a tour guide stands outside, waving to anyone who would see the entrance.

"Welcome! You've come just in time for a grand tour of the museum!"

"Ah, yes, well, this is Museum Island. Long ago, this island played host to a massive battle that claimed many lives. They left behind some cherished treasures that we have begun to dig up. Currently, we have amassed 30% of the Island's lost treasures and refurbished them here. Please, take a gander. We just recovered this mechanical Falcon." The tour guide said, showing Jackson a giant white robotic Falcon with red missiles on its wingtips.

The two Foundation X members walked up to an encampment where one of the archeologists looked at them. One was a man with a headband, the other was a big, tall woman.

"Wh-who are you people?" The archeologist said.

"We've come to offer you something..." One of the members, the man, took out a briefcase and popped it open, revealing it to be full of money. Half of them were yen notes, the other were American bank notes. "We wish to fund your operation... But we require some of your discoveries as payment."

"I... We can't just give these things away! These are relics and we must keep them safe!" The archeologist said. The man smirked.

"Really? Well then... Peg?" He gestured his head towards the big, tall woman behind him. She gave a grin as a faint, colored image of a monster's face appeared over her own. Her body morphed, revealing an even bulkier humanoid, though. However, it looked much more like a humanoid horse with long blue Pegasus wings. The archeologist stepped back until he tripped over his own legs in fear of the Pegasus-like monster. The man turned to the archeologist, taking off his headband to reveal a strange tattoo that looked almost like a port. "We're not coming home empty handed. We'll just simply take these relics..." The man shows the archeologist a USB with a ribcage design. On its label was the letter U, shaped to be like a horse with a horn. "By force." He presses onto the button on the USB.

UNICORN!

With that, he forced the USB into his forehead. It sunk in as his body transformed into a horse-like monster as well, though this time with a long green horn than wings. The archeologist screamed, getting up and running.

The Black Cross King looked over the Museum. He put two fingers to his forehead and sent a telepathic message to his followers.

"Now that you have gathered, I shall tell you the objective of this gathering: There is something that was recovered from here just recently. A red egg that shall prove vital to our further operations. Bring it back, and I shall reward you all handsomely. However... the Museum may have hidden it somewhere inside its chambers. I shall provide... a distraction while you all go in and get it..." He thought. He waved his hand over the Museum.

To any keen-eyed people in the museum, they could swear that certain cracks in the walls and crevices between the furniture and the floor began to glow red.

Link walked a bit to the side of the path, trying to avoid drawing the attention of the natives. They did look like her people... aside from their clothes and the shorter ears, though the second wasn't all that rare away from her town.

However, Link's musings were put to a stop as the museum guided looked straight at her as she gave her invitation to the tour.

"E-Eh...? Me?" She says the young adventurer, pointing at herself... and thankfully, her mask hides the befuddled look on her face.

Jade stumbles over towards where the tour guide is. She's concealed her sickle in a sheath she made out of scrap cardboard and a roll of duct tape. Easy way to hide a bloodstained blade. She didn't want to cause civilian panic.

Jackson couldn't believe what he was seeing. This bird... It's design spits in the laws of both rational design and in the sense of practicality. This must've been made as a desperation weapon, or the designer was insane, and only 30% of these artifacts were recovered... Something's not right here. He looked back up and started to take in all of the exhibits placed around him. Each one was another testament to madness, the robotic animals were only the tip of the iceberg, weaponry and armor was everywhere, all of it was decades ahead of everything he had ever seen, this place was either a treasure trove of information or a very dangerous collection. Jackson nodded his thanks to the tour guide, heading down a hallway to get a moment to think, stroking his chin out of reflex, Okay, all signs are now suggesting I'm stuck in a completely different world, and this museum is basically a giant armory. So why hasn't anyone tried to claim it?
