Wrong boss. The Boss in this case is a TV show Grammer did. He looked very angry in the printed adverts for the show.

There was the episode where Frasier discovers the woman he's dating is a gym teacher, and immediately sees her only as his old gym teacher Bob Hoskins.

That was a funny episode. And he even gets her to ease up on the girl a bit, or at least to see things from the girl's POV. And then she winds up seeing him as the girl. That relationship was doomed to fail. Too bad he couldn't remind her of what a good athlete he currently was so she wouldn't be as turned off.

So, when did (However her first name is spelled) Chenowith get the role of Glinda? Because I think I just saw her as Bebe's "Winged monkey", as Frasier described her.

Is half this thread going to be me recognizing various guest stars?

Considering how many times the credits rolled out names and photos of callers to the Frasier Crane Show, I don't think it's a bad thing to make half this thread recognition of famous guests.

Abby Shuto off of NCIS was a barista at cafe nervosa for a season.

Zooey Deschanel showed up playing the same character she always did, only here it was seen as a bad thing.

And adding to the wild celebrity sightings: Patrick Stewart played a gay opera conductor who was hot for Frasier. He never said anything as outrageous as his Seth Mac Farlane appearances, but he was definitely informal compared to Picard.

Friends who knew John said he'd requested long ago that his orientation and partner not be divulged or mentioned in his obits. He was a very private guy.

Huh, I didn't see anything about orientation or partner in that CNN report. Did somebody leak something or was that last post a non sequiter?

Everyone knows John Mahoney was gay and had a partner.

I never paid attention, so I didn't know.

That Big Damn Kiss episode was such a long time coming I can't imagine waiting seven actual years to see it.

What would you say is your favorite episode?

Mine would probably be "The Innkeepers", where Niles and Frasier buy a restaurant. I'm not sure the show's farce ever got farcier than that.

That episode is indeed hilarious, especially Roz's reaction to a soufflé exploding.

The only other episode I can think of that I really liked was "Cheerful Goodbyes" which brought back the rest of the Cheers cast who hadn't shown up previously.

Martin: "You should come up to Seattle. It's only a 9 hour flight."

Norm: "I dunno... sitting in one spot for 9 hours, never moving... that's just not me."

Also, Carla's breakdown when Cliff announces he's not leaving Boston.

I'm amazed that Niles and Daphne handled their breaking of their marriages so maturely. I honestly thought they were just going to drive off into the sunset and not come back for weeks.

Niles was supposed to be the Replacement Flat Character for Frasier (the trope was originally named The Niles), but it seems more like he keeps Frasier from going off the deep end. He often breaks Bebe's influence on Frasier and his relationships are generally longer-lasting, if not necessarily any more healthy.

Frasier's clown costume is terrifying by the way.

My favorite jokes are the ones about Maris and Lilith, especially when Niles is involved.

Frasier: It happened, take from it what you can learn, move on. Niles: Well, I learned if you kiss her too fast you get an ice-cream headache. Lilith: You also learned that I have twice your upper body strength, so shut your pie hole.
