Like I said, it's possible, but a very, very rare case.

Also, that pet is very much not on the list, and seeing as how it's a particularly hazardous wizarding pet (well, towards muggles—that and it eats everything) crossbred with a wild animal, I doubt permission would be granted.

I guess it makes sense to limit everyone to first year characters because the last time everyone was in different years and it was kind of a clusterfuck and would probably have eventually segregated the players into separate, walled-off scenarios. I still think there's some merit to playing older characters, though (I enjoyed it, at least).

I think I'll bring back my old character, but make her 11 this time.

  • Name: Charlie Clemens
  • Age: 11
  • Gender: Female
  • Magical Heritage: Half-blood
  • House: Hufflepuff
  • Appearance: (imagine her with less boobs)
  • Backstory:
    • Charlie's pure-blooded mother hailed from Dijon, France, and attended Beauxbatons academy, though Charlie never knew she was a witch until much later. In 1999, a year after the Second Wizarding War ended, her mother moved to England to marry a muggle-born wizard who was touring France (well, more like escaping the war) at the time of their meeting, and she gave birth to Charlie three years later.
    • Shortly after Charlie's birth in 2002, aurors tracked down her parents and arrested them for suspicion of having been snatchers in the Second Wizarding War; claims which were not unfounded, though they were doing it against their will to cleverly hide the fact that her father was muggle-born in the last place anyone would think to look. The two were carted off to Azkaban.
    • From then on, Charlie fell into the custody of her muggle uncle, who lived on a rural farmland out in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in England. To that end, she grew up completely unremarkable and fairly uninteresting, and had never seen anything out of the ordinary in her life. Well, except for that one time she made some of the crops grow rapidly overnight. That was a little weird.
  • Personality: Charlie grew up quiet, guarded and introverted, but after realizing she had no friends, she reinvented herself as clumsy, airheaded and friendly, which is the personality she has now. She can often be silly and whimsical. Charlie loves meeting new people, especially outside of her house, and considers practically everyone to be her friend — including most Slytherins, even if they'd beg to differ.
  • Personal Items:
    • Wand: 11'' pear wood, unicorn core, surprisingly swishy
    • A completely ordinary Chartreux cat named Fido. Fido is actually Charlie's uncle's cat, but he seems to prefer Charlie more than his actual owner, so he tags along.
  • Special Gifts and Abilities: Fairly good at Herbology and Potions, though this is a given considering how she helps out on the farm. Passable at anything else.
  • Weaknesses: Dreadful at Astronomy and History of Magic, especially remembering dates (she often doesn't even know what day of the week it is).

It's been such a long time since I read Harry Potter and I never really liked the last book so I don't know if this matches up to canon as nicely as I think it does.

Not seeing anything wrong with her, unless anyone spotted something I missed?

Alright {cracks fingers} Let's see if I got what it takes...

  • Name: Roxy Rogers
  • Age: 11
  • Gender: Female
  • House: Hufflepuff
  • Magical Heritage: Muggle Born
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: And I run the risk of using a live-action picture as opposed to an animated picture
  • Backstory: Roxy's mother was lucky to have given birth to Roxy after the climax of the Second Wizarding War, lest she'd be persecuted by the corrupted Ministry of Magic, though it that was the case, it would have been her first encounter with the Wizarding World. Roxy lived a normal life as a kid, up until a few days before her 11th birthday. She happened upon a friend of hers being picked on by some bullies. Without even knowing, she cast a spell that knocked one of the bullies down. Her display of power not only scared the bullies away, but also her friend. Devastated and scared of what she could do, she stayed in her room... At least for a few days before a teacher from Hogwarts came over with a letter in hand on her birthday. The teacher discussed with the parents about how Roxy was a Muggle Born capable of magic. The teacher's offer was simple: If Roxy went to Hogwarts, she might better control her magic. When he told Roxy this, she was a little unsure due to the whole "leaving for about a year to learn in a place far from her home" but complied when realizing that this might help her in realizing who she is in the terms of magic.
  • Personality: Roxy has trouble coming to terms with her ability to use magic, reflecting an old sterotype of Muggle Born being less talented at magic. Despite this, she still wishes to learn so as to better control herself. She possesses a staggering sense of loyalty, a quality that instantly placed her into the Hufflepuff House despite her desire to learn about her magic being in line to Ravenclaw's core belief. Due to being far away from her home, she's quick to make friends, and although they might not value it the same way (or in the worst case, use it as a means to an end), Roxy will always value her friendship and protect it, even long after the friendship breaks apart.
  • Personal Items:
    • Her Wand is made from Ash wood and the core being of Unicorn tail hair. It's around ten inches and solid.
    • A Barn Owl by the name of Belle, named after the friend she stood up for and inadvertantly discovered her magic.
  • Special gifts and abilities: None that I can think of.
