I bet it's because people finally find someone ELSE who's the shortest person. [lol]

169 cm (5'7''). I'm suddenly feeling very tall.

Hello person who is the male average height (I think if you genuinely can't reach the top shelf, they should redesign things)

Average height ? Certainly doesn't feel that way. And I was much shorter as a kid, that could be a reason I still identify as short.

But I can recognize a passive-agressive invitation not to post again when I see one. So I won't bother you anymore. smile

What? I didn't mean it that way at all, tone is hard to convey over the internet I guess, maybe more smilies next time?

I didn't meant that seriously ! But you have to recognize that calling someone "average-height person" (twice !) on a thread dedicated to short people sends a certain... message...

I mean... you literally are average height.

I'm 2in1/2 below. I suppose that's indeed close enough to be considered average...

Oh okay smileit was two different people, I'm around average height too (5"4) I post here because I literally can't reach the top shelf (I feel they should really be redesigned). But yes tone is horrible online maybe one of us should have really used the Joking Mode code except I forget how to do that.

Hello, I am a convenient walking armrest.

I am 5'3" (and hey Palindromee, I also have little tiny hands, and isn't shopping for gloves in the kids' section a bittersweet thing? super cheap, but dressy gloves and work gloves are impossible to find).

My boyfriend is also 5'3". He is insecure about this and wants to be taller. I am wildly attracted to him as it is. I see where he's coming from...but I just think he looks like himself, and he's awesome, so I like it.

My nine-year-old, though? She's ALREADY 5'1". She's a Real Life Huge Schoolgirl. We share clothes. We share shoes, too. She's going to be taller than me by the time she goes to middle school. I really think she's going to be taller than her dad (my ex-husband, who is 5'9"). I can't wait until she can get things off the top shelf for us. :D
