I walked past the radio station at the university and asked if they needed a presenter and they said "sure, when do you want to do your show?"

Oh, lucky you! My university doesn't even have a radio station, as far as I'm aware.

electropop, post-hardcore, art rock/arena rock, indie, pop-punk, and Britpop

Well, I can at least give you the only Britpop song I actuallly like. It might be a little too... intense for radio play, though.

Also, have some Bowie:

Changes
Sound And Vision
Beauty And The Beast
DJ

And some Reed:

Vicious
Andy's Chest
Wagon Wheel

The "arena rock" tag immediately makes me think of Springsteen, but he's probably not ironic and detached enough for the "young metropolitan pseudohipsters" you're trying to attract. tongue

I would suggest some Voltaire, but it might not pass an overzealous censor (then again, I might be paranoid, among other things).

Also, Kishidan, Dropkick Murphys and Tom Lehrer are awesome.

Dude, he played this on his show. Pulp is hardly too intense if he's playing this:

I have!!

I think they're kinda cheesy, though.

Of course you won't air the whole album at once, but pick one song each day, maybe.

@Boxen: FUCK YES!!

@Ros: Why? Because I like Thirty Seconds To Mars? I also like Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Guns N Roses, Imagine Dragons, AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Beethoven.

No, your music taste is forever tainted by 30 Seconds to Mars.

And that's why we can't be friends.

Hopey: Not a music suggestion, but next time check to make sure the mic is picking your voice up and is set at a decent volume level :P

We've ruined pep rally footage at school a couple times by forgetting to adjust the mixer.

[up]I'm not certain he has control over that, from what he'd told me last we spoke about it. I remember he was telling me that during his first broadcast they ended up changing mics like halfway through because of the issues with it.
