That would be hilarious. He would be viewed as the worst Skrull ever, since when the other Skrulls shapeshift they change color. BB just stays green
Why not make that his actual origin?
As for Phantom, I don't have anything specifically against him, though his inclusion is going to require a reworking of the Shadow Legacy.
Ooh, how do people feel about making Gladiator a Kryptonian?
Ukrainian Red CrossThe Phantom is a legacy character himself, though, and he's spatially removed from the others. I feel like he doesn't need to be in the Shadow legacy any more than Black Panther does - all three of them are (mostly) Badass Normal legacies, but they're separate.
Ehh, I'm iffy on using non-DC or Marvel properties here. Because otherwise, where do you stop? Not to mention, they would overshadow the companies' equivalents of them (Zatara for Mandrake, for example.) Of course everyone is free to write their fics as they choose.
So where do Thanos and Darkseid stand amongst each other in terms of power?
Hmm. Let's see.
Darkseid is one of the New Gods of Apokolips. So basically they're like Asgardians, but with even more advanced tech. Darkseid himself is the embodiment of evil (or likes to think of himself as such; certainly he passed some traits to his son Orion) and is one of the strongests New Gods (he and Orion are fated to kill each other in battle.) Even without Apokolips tech he has his Omega Effect, those eyebeams that can disintegrate, reintegrate and teleport.
Thanos OTOH, is mutant Eternal from Saturn's moon, Titan. Physically powerful but disfigured, he was corrupted by contact with entities like the Dragon of the Moon and Lady Death. He became merciless enough to kill his own mother (but so did Darkseid) and enhanced himself via cybernetics (presumably he also mastered Eternal techniques such as energy projection.) He also has accumulated lots of resources like any good Space Conqueror.
So... in a fair battle, I'd give it to Darkseid, by a slim margin. However, I can't help but feel Thanos is smarter. None of Darkseid's plans ever felt as clever as the mad Titan's. Heck, he might even pretend to lose just to play on Darkseid's ego and lure him to a trap!

I recommending reading the works of the late Jim Bader such as Nabiki ½ and Thunder in the Mountains. Weakening the DC Characters isn’t really needed what is done in those fics is that super heroes age. Sup, bat, wonder woman all showed up in the 1920’s and lived their lives. Superman marries Lois has two kids Clark jr and Martha who get married and have kids (Clark jr marries a Luthor and has Connor) Lois sadly dies of old age. Martha and her daughter are based off of miss victory from Femforce. His granddaughter is actually dating magneto’s granddaughter.
Sup eventually gets remarried to wonder woman and the dark knight returns happens. It isn’t a dystopian future but sup does agree to work for the government around the Regan era. When he tells them he won’t do it anymore they deport him and wonder woman who move to japan eventually having Alison or A-Ko
Read the WMG at the bottom for wonder woman’s future Heracles is Wonder Woman’s father. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WMG/WonderWoman
She eventually puts two and two together discovers her mother has been lying to her. It turns out her armor was never magic her mother just led her to believe it and when she started doubting her origins as a clay statue her abilities started left just like in the Marston era (while she didn’t have godly strength she still had super strength because of 3000 of combat training). Only instead of a male master she found the lost amazon villages in the amazon, Africa and china and trained with them when she excepts her true lineage her abilities came back along with some new one like flight.
She then went to sup and told him that since he defeated her they were married.
Sup and wonder woman are semi retired they just handle global catastrophes and that’s really it.
For b-ko Lex Luthor would get a head up on competition by seducing the female relatives of rival companies one such woman was the sister of the head of stark industries. They had a child together and that eventually led to the Daitokuji line.
Doctor Light (Kimiyo Hoshi) is the sister in law of Shiro Yoshida (widowed not divorced) and there is a lot of unresolved sexual tension between the two.
For the Martian man hunter he is not actually from mars like with the big three he can to earth during a time when a green man from outer space would have been called a Martian. Since his real home planet is unpronounceable by the human tongue he just went with it.
With Bruce he just gets old and has to retire currently terry is batman, also Bruce is kind of a whore terry, Helene are his children in the fic it also turn out that he’s ranma’s grandfather. Batman never worked with Gorden terry does Barbara discovers terry as batman and is his batgirl Tim is red robin adopted by Bruce.
It turns out that mutants/metahumans aren’t caused by evolution but atavism http://jimbaderfanon.wikia.com/wiki/Mutant
When magneto finds this out he finds utopia a land where mutants and humans can live in harmony.
The x-men aren’t really that respected by the superhero community not because they’re mutants but because they’re seen as hypocrite. You can’t preach for equality one second then turn around and tell everyone that you’re genetically superior so they are usually left to their own devices.
Aquaman and Namor are cousins each leader of their own part of atlantis. There are also other undersea kingdoms such as Lemuria.
Also to keep it downplayed while other kingdoms have big superheroes like sunfire above the grand superhero battles are kind of an American thing. They was actually a scene where a character who goes to college in America was visiting home he talked about how once you get use to the superhero battles America is a great place to visit.
Like I said they are recommended reads as eventhough as a ranma fic these are background events they have exactly what you are looking for
I still think Captain America should be Wonder Woman's mother. Or did you skip everything else we'd laid out up until now?
No offense, and you have some good ideas, but what you've described is basically something that would probably work better in it's own universe, rather than this one, especially since some ideas — such as Martain Manhunter not actually being from Mars — might not be the best things to do. (Specifically, there's no reason he can't still be from ancient Mars, so just have him be from ancient Mars.)
I'd actually suggest just creating a whole new thread for this, as you have a lot of interesting ideas; I'm just not sure if they would mesh all that well with this project.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundI think she was describing an existing fanfic as a source of ideas.
Ukrainian Red CrossOh. Sorry about that. Although, in such a mess of text, it was kind of hard to tell exactly what was what.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundStory idea: Hawkeye and Green Arrow go back in time and team up with Robin Hood. (I think Robin Hood is canonically an earlier incarnation of Captain Britain).
Ukrainian Red CrossI dunno about that but he definitely existed in the DCU (had his own series.)
Sherlock also exists in DC.
Yup. And while we're at it...
DC: The Shadow, The Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, Doc Savage, Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes
MARVEL: Conan, Godzilla, the first four issues of Transformers, Doctor Who (this one's a bit more trickey, but when DW was off the air, Marvel had the rights to DW Magazine for a while, and so DW would occasionally cross over with the Marvel Universe. So we could use DW if we wanted to.)
And there might be even more that I'm not aware of.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundTo make it crazier, Death's Head appeared in Doctor Who after he fell sideways through time from the UK Transformers comic.
Ukrainian Red CrossHas this thing died out or are you guys still going? Just curious.
Peace out scrubs.Sorry, but by this point, I think it's died out, which is a kind of shame. Just when it seemed like we all ready to take this to the next level and write actual stories out of this, (myself included,) everything just seemed to slowly peter out until the thread finally, for all intents and purposes, went kaput. Every now and then, someone still chimes in for a new idea, but for the most part, this thread doesn't really get used that often anymore.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundDamn. I do recall that each of you had started writing stories...
Good run though. 1,000 replies is nothing to discard. Hope none of these ideas go to waste.

Peace out scrubs. So I just found out about Tank 666. It's a US tank piloted by four Ghost Riders that fought Nazis in the 40s. I think we can all agree that if this series ever gets going, that needs to appear in the WWII stories at some point.
Ukrainian Red CrossSounds like a riff at DC's Haunted Tank to me! Still, other than diluting the idea of the Ghost Rider concept (I'm not fond of multiple characters with the same theme eg. too many Green Lanterns) why not?
As for this project in general, since the whole point was to inspire cross-company writing, I don't see why it cannot be started all over again- but more as an exchange of ideas than a shared universe. I certainly have my own ideas for Marvel/DC crossovers I haven't been able to use, even in the Justice Avengers games.
This should be revived this whole project was amazing.
Fuck you i do what i want! ~ Dr. ZadkielI'm interested, if it starts over.
Someone had the idea that Wade Wilson could be Slade's Clone created by Department K but i had this idea. Maybe Wade could be Slade's son with Adeline Kane? I think it was established at some point that Wade had an abusive background and Slade isn't exactly known for being the nicest man.
Fuck you i do what i want! ~ Dr. ZadkielPersonally I tend to stick to a character's origin as written in the comics unless the connections are just too obvious to ignore.
I have a proposition: how about first we do the world building, then figure out how each character fits in? That way we wouldn't trip over each other's ideas.
For example, I have a list of origins for characters of a combined Marvel/DC universe. I could post it here if there's interest.
Anyone want to see a story were Beast Boy is constantly mistaken for a Skrull?
