If either of the images are the series titlecards, I don't think it matters truly which we use especially if we're changing a working image for something as minor as it representing the wrong era of cartoons.

Well, how good are your imaging editing skills? There seems to be two Ironmans and two Hulks in that picture. You could swap one out for a Spiderman. (If there's another Marvel character you want in there, too, you could swap out both of them.)
Boy Scouts ½: the most gratuitous self insert fic, ever! Read, if you dare! They're both official title cards.
Not that advanced, I'm afraid.

What the heck, thought I'd take my own stab at it with my pitiful editing skills... So how about this?
Boy Scouts ½: the most gratuitous self insert fic, ever! Read, if you dare!
It works. The current has JJJ in the upper left. Edit him in for one more?

Check out my fanfiction!I kind of want to suggest Thing and HERBIE for that spot, so the collage can more-or-less feature all the major superheroes who starred in parodies so far. You can find the Fantastic Four title card in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ft3eoHgKyI
However, their picture doesn't look exactly the same size. I don't know if that would cause a problem.
Yeah, what made it easy for my unskilled self to do what I did so far is that the pictures were in identical frames. That video has a completely different title card.
JJJ wouldn't have been my first choice for that corner, even with my limited knowledge of Marvel (pretty much what I can get from film adaptations). Getting another figure in that corner would be awesome, but it'll take someone better then me and my amateurish MS Paint skills.
Boy Scouts ½: the most gratuitous self insert fic, ever! Read, if you dare!Still think we're probably making too much of a works image when we have a pretty decent works image anyway, just someone's unhappy it doesn't represent the characters they like so we edit them in. Doesn't seem right...

I like @7 and give it a .
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman7 works for me.
@10 No, the complaint is that JJJ (upper-left corner) is not a superhero, and all the other characters depicted are... nothing to do with who likes what character.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I think he's referring to the fact that I didn't immediately replace the picture with that shown in post #1 just because it doesn't have Spider-Man. That concern stemmed mostly from Spidey having a rather strong presence in this series (almost half of the segments produced during the first year starred Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends), such that he probably deserves recognition in the replacement picture.

Ok, but that is still not anyone's opinion about which character they like. Spider-Man is prominent in that show, it is a totally valid complaint that he wasn't depicted, inappropriate to belittle it.

Check out my fanfiction!I'm fine with 7.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. Here it is with the Thing in the corner, instead of Jameson.

Boy Scouts ½: the most gratuitous self insert fic, ever! Read, if you dare!Yup. It's swapped in and the page is tagged; locking up.
The current image comes from the parodies of the '80s Spider-Man cartoon. I contemplated replacing it with the title card from their parodies of 1960s Marvel cartoons, because it has a greater variety of heroes. However, it does not include Spidey:
