They're not wrong about Xul. He has the skeletons in common with the D2 Necro, and little else.
They expect the D2 classes to be covering all aspects of it and think that both Cassia and Xul are not worth because they miss out a lot of abilities. Of course HOTS is not going to cover everything the classes do.
And they want all the classes to be multiclass. Honestly, outside of Druid, multiclass is a stupid idea for them.
Hell, i think Multiclass was a mistake and horrible to balance. Just look at mister Varian "lol i'm invincible every 2 seconds" Wrynn.
Uni catI'm not sure, but I think having enemies leave behind corpses just to facilitate Xul's revival stuffs are asking too much. Also, Revive wouldn't look VERY awesome, since chances are, the normal minions are nothing to write home about to revive, unlike Abyss Knights, Venom Lords, etc... And they won't have enough significant HP to make Corpse Explosion become fearsome. Honestly, there will be issues of balance that no amount of armchair designing can help.
We dealt the same with how Nova is less Nova with psionic power but more like a representation of the Ghost unit...
But yeah, I think I could REALLY see shitstorms in case of some new D2 hero gets included, and the elitists on D2 whine about it.
Xul does need more. He is super niche now and only picked for his ability to double push and that his been nerfed so hard that all the others specialists will just wreck him in lane and prevent his double push.
Then he has mortal wounds at 20 when var has it at 13 or so. Xul's just not good anymore

NU GUNDAM WA DATE JA NAI!That's another issue altogether, but what we're tackling right now are armchair people that think that Xul didn't follow D2 incarnation too much, therefore that's why he's problematic, not because of the legit reasons you said. He's bashed because he didn't look like their Sacred Cow Diablo II version enough.

Honestly he plays so awkwardly that I wouldn't mind a rework but not like that.
Xul having almost nothing in common with the D2 Necro is absolutely a legitimate complaint, especially since it means we'll never get a more faithful Necro. Like I said before, the only things Xul and the D2 Necro really have in common are the skeletons and the poison nova.
Malthael enters the nexus today, and a whole bunch of balance changes along with him.
Of note, Thrall got a full rework, Malf got a talent rework (including losing Cleanse!), and Bolt of the Storm's range was nerfed by 20%. Thrall, Kerri, Stitches, Li Li, Malf and Raynor don't have Bolt anymore; Kerri and Thrall gained personal variants of Bolt, and Stitches and Malf had variants worked into their ult upgrades. All four replacements are more offense-oriented than previously.
No one can stop death...except when they can.
Wow, does Mathael seriously have no dialogue? No smack talk with the Lich King or any Stop Poking Me! stuff?
He did speak in ROS, right? I recall him saying stuff instead of just grunting like he's a mindless ghost or something.

Are you prepared to go all the way with this, Alexei?
but HOW?If only Gerard took his own advice
Stukov is awesome, though like most things I liked him better in Brood War.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Narud when?
Uni catLet's skip Narud and just have Duran. Especially if we get his old VA back.
Starcraft 2 had fantastic story-telling in the day to day missions, but the overall plot sucked.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Yeah, SC 2 is consider much weaker than the original in terms of story and character development. The biggest issue i see with that is if Blizzard will pick Talandar over the OG Fenix, but i think both can work.
Now we are 7th hero releases without a WC character. If Stukov is not a support, i think Velen could be a cool one. Mostly because he has been relevant for the first time in the recent expansion.
Uni catSC 2 suffers from Prophecy convenience and Bigger Bad syndrome 'IE trying to tie everything into one Bigger Bad guy cause alot of wonks in the story namely when it comes to the overmind SC 1 motivations and Kerrigan's brood war behavior'
Narud was a step down from Duran.

Nice, Stukov is a support.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984His heal is basically Sylv's w in reverse.
I have done some digging in various places and apparently there is a 4chan leak that accurately predicted Cassia, D.Va, Malthael and Stukov a few months before they came out (Some other mentioned Genji being worked, so at least he was not considered to be released around April)
The other 2 names that popped up in the most verifiable leak are Junkrat and Kel'thuzad. The latter i think can be slated to be revealed at Gamescon and no idea when Junkrat is coming.

Y'know what, I was thinking to put the Diablo 2 elitists into a Broken Base section or sorts. I mean, now they're complaining that Xul isn't like the old D2 Necro, but more like a placeholder to experiment on the Necros at D3! And they're making it up that Cassia didn't go like the D2 Amazon! ... Ugh.
