Yes. Just... all of my yes.
No ideas as of yet, but I'll get back to you once I've given them some more thought.
Any ideas on the name of the Clan, our overall "mission statement" as such, or is that at our own discretion?
Should we be basing abilities off of the jobs of the aforementioned game, or did you want us to take a more homebrew approach to that?
I am so playing a Chocobo Knight Moogle.
The clan is Clan Nemea at this point, working out of the Lion's Den pub (hence the name). That might change, though.
And if you have a class that appears in-game, then the abilities should reflect those of the game, with minor modifications to things like Rush. Homebrew is just checking with me and setting up abilities, though I'd prefer only one of your classes was as such, if any.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!Hmmm... Interest. Just need to figure out a race and a class, ahah.
...And I guess refresh my memory on Ivalice, but that shouldn't be too difficult.
Dibs on the Gria!
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Quick question: are we only allowed to use jobs that appear in FFT A2, or are we allowed to use any job from the FF series so long as it roughly fits the setting?
The idea is that you can make or adapt any class, as long as I approve it beforehand.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!Ah, okays. This should be interesting, then~ Hmmm, what to use...
I believe you already know I'm interested. Might go with a Bangaa or a Viera or something, although that is undecided at the moment.
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOEdited OP with a skeleton.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!- Name: Elenore "The Cross Knight" Leroy
- Age: 47
- Sex: Female
- Race: Hume
- Job: Paladin / White Mage
- Paladin: Cover, Nurse, Parlay, Saint Cross. Access to: Greatswords, knightswords, shields, heavy armours, clothing, robes, helms, hats. Base Mobility: Low movement, low jumping, low evasion. Base Power: Upper-middle physical, lower-middle magical. Base Defence: High physical, middle magical.
- Cover: Places a divine blessing on a comrade, allowing her to quickly jump in between the blow and the intended target.
- Nurse: Calling upon advanced first-aid training, Elenore can quickly tend minor wounds and afflictions of her and immediate allies in a rather quick fashion.
- Parlay: Should the opponent be a sentient species and outnumbered, outgunned, or otherwise overpowered, Elenore can offer the opponent the chance to surrender.
- Saint Cross: Summoning up raw divine magics, Elenore slams a fist into the ground, creating a cross-shaped holy powered shockwave. Consumes a decent amount of MP.
- White Mage: Cura, Life, Shell, Protect
- Cura: Uses holy energy to heal a few nearby allies a decent amount. Consumes less MP than Saint Cross by about half.
- Life: Channeling holy energy, Elenore can revive a fallen person in a fight. This is limited to knocked out/badly injured beings; the dead stay dead and the conscious are unaffected. Consumes MP equal to Cura.
- Protect: Sending a rippling field of magic, Elenore grants some protection against physical attacks. Consumes only a little amount of MP.
- Shell: Sending a rippling field of magic, Elenore grants some protection against magical attacks. Consumes only a little amount of MP.
- Paladin: Cover, Nurse, Parlay, Saint Cross. Access to: Greatswords, knightswords, shields, heavy armours, clothing, robes, helms, hats. Base Mobility: Low movement, low jumping, low evasion. Base Power: Upper-middle physical, lower-middle magical. Base Defence: High physical, middle magical.
- Passive Ability: Defence Plus. This increases Elenore's physical defence through extensive training with heavy armours.
- Equipment: Flame Shield*, Ice Shield*, Thunder Robe*, Bone Armlets*, and Battle Boots*. All of this is painted white with brown crosses, except a single string necklace with a simple wooden cross.
- Personality: Elenore is a protective soul who does what she can to protect the things she sees as precious. However, she is not a nice woman; Elenore is quick to scold her 'children' from showing poor form when wielding weapons to poorly planned ideas. In addition, she will never forget a mistake or a betrayal and will keep a grudge as long as she can. She loves imparting advice, regardless of whether or not the recipient is willing.
- Background: Elenore "The Cross Knight" Leroy is an experienced clan member, having spent most of her years fighting within them. She was once known as "The Cross Terror" in her younger years, for her massive two-handed swords would swing in a cross pattern. However, as her fighting skills began to wane, something happened. Elenore dropped off the map for a few years before recently returning to the clan scene. Now, she is no longer the bloodthirsty warrior whose name alone could break a clan, but instead an almost elderly woman who seldom strikes against a foe.
- Appearance: Elenore's age is beginning to show, her once fair blonde hair has gone grey and lots of wrinkles are beginning to sink into her face. All her equipment is painted white with a brown cross emblazoned on it. She has a string necklace with a brown wooden cross as the centerpiece. Her eyes are a deep blue, almost sorrowful.

"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValI forgot Appearance, please add it in? Also, Protect and Shell are Green Magic...
EDIT: Well since White Mages can learn S+P in FFTA, I'll allow it. Also, that way S+P aren't Viera-specific.

Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!- Name: Celia
- Age: Whatever "young adult" is for Gria. 23?
- Sex: Female
- Race: Gria
- Job: Ravager/Raptor
- Ravager
- Sweeping Spin — Strikes at all nearby enemies.
- "Backstab" (a.k.a. Sneak Attack) — Deals heavy damage when attacking someone from behind.
- Overpower — Attacks with such ferocity that it leaves the enemy no time to react.
- Battle Cry — Celia psyches herself up to raise Attack, but also reduces her Defense.
- Blast Wave — Celia slams her weapon into the ground, sending out a shockwave along a line in front of her.
- Raptor
- Power Crush — A crushing blow that leaves the enemy exposed to physical attacks.
- Mind Crush — A debilitating attack that renders the target vulnerable to magic spells.
- Speed Crush — A crippling strike that reduces the target's speed.
- Ravager
- Passive: Resistance+ — A bit of magical resistance training ensures that she isn't knocked down too quickly when a Black Mage so much as glares in her general direction.
- Equipment: Ancient Sword, Headband, Platemail
- Personality: "Go all-out, or go home." This Gria is never one to do things half-heartedly, whether in or out of battle. One of the fastest ways to earn her contempt is to willingly break an oath, and for this same reason, she does not make promises lightly. When not cracking skulls on the battlefield, she is often found with a sunny disposition, and perhaps just a little bit of naive optimism.
- Background: Celia actually used to be a member of another clan. But after one too many safe missions, she decided to quit in order to look for a clan with a little more ambition. Unfortunately, the bigger clans were either not hiring at the moment, or were unimpressed by her relative lack of experience.
- Appearance: Celia has shoulder-length blue hair, and yellowish-brown eyes. She wears a heart-shaped pendant around her neck for good luck, usually tucked underneath her armor.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Accepted!
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!...Hmmm, I seem to have severely underestimated the intended powerlevels for this... Thought we'd all be new adventurers rather than powerful veterans, ahah. Going to have to rethink my ideas to fit better, I guess. Hmmm.
You ca be anything from a new adventurer to a veteran, and you should still be able to do well.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!My character will be new, at least.
Something that was just pointed out to me: Kyler, Counter is a Reaction, not Passive. While some Reactions could be construed as Passives for this (like Replenish MP), Counter is just kind of... taken care of by virtue of this being a play-by post.
Also, a list of abilities for those interested: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_Tactics_A2:_Grimoire_of_the_Rift_Abilities
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!Oh, you were looking for Support abilities. Sorry about that.
Um... would this also have to come from one of the two chosen classes, or can I use anything available to the chosen race?

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Pretty much anything from the chosen race. NINJAEDIT: I mean, certain things like Dual Wield on any old Hume might need more reason behind them, but the Gria can pretty much jump between jobs like a frog so it should be good.

Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!Passive changed to Resistance+.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Because SI insisted.
- Name: Roy Ignatius.
- Age: 36.
- Sex: Male.
- Job: Black Mage.
- Spells: Fire, Fira, Firaga, Thunder, Blizzard.
- Race: Hume.
- Passive Ability: Shieldbearer (able to use shields despite them being restricted from the Black Mage job).
- Equipment: Flame Rod, Ice Shield, Black Robe, Feathered Cap.
- Personality: Roy is a laid-back person. His favourite pastimes are reading, sleeping, reading some more and sleeping some more. He's more than a bit lazy, always complaining when there's work to do. However, beneath the lazy exterior lies a focused and intelligent person; he's an extremely talented mage, able to rake entire areas with fire spells. He simply doesn't bother, most of the time.
- Backstory: Born in a monastery, Roy was discovered to have talent for black magic early on. Seeking to capitalise on this, he was sent to Camoa to study black magic with the Edge of Magick. His apprenticeship done, Roy wandered a little, then signed up with a clan in Graszton. Finding the rewards of clan life extremely satisfying, he stayed, living the most of his adult life as a merc.
- Appearance: Why, hello there! What do we have here?
Accepted! Five abilities is cool since you still have less than everyone else.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!
In a smoky pub near the docks of Grazton, a small clan takes a quest.
"I want those criminals brought in! By midnight tomorrow!"
A dispatch is sent out from the clan. A capable team, if rough around the edges. Tracking the targets is no problem. Now they stand on higher ground, waiting to strike...

Hey y'all, this will be a semi-tactical RP set in the Final Fantasy Tactics A2 world version of Ivalice. You are part of a clan, who discover something shocking on an early mission- from there on out, it's up to you what to do.
Now, this is mainly an interest check, though it'll probably become a sign-up if more than two or three people are interested.
Also, it is not necessary to have a wide knowledge of Final Fantasy Tactics (or any kind of Final Fantasy) to join. I've already altered a bit of the lore to make some things work, and I'll be glad to help if anyone has any questions. The Final Fantasy Wiki is also a great source of information if you want ideas for jobs/classes.
RULES:
Other than that, there isn't much else necessary! Now, the following information about the RP:
It is a tactical RP. It won't be excessively so, but don't expect to run in with a big sword and sort things out. You'll need to have a plan to consistently pull things off without getting killed.
Getting killed! It won't happen, unless I pretty much literally say "this will probably get you killed", but you can still be knocked out/jailed for the duration of a mission.
Characters: Any race is acceptable. Humes? Of course. Moogles? Duh. Viera, Bangaa, Seeq, Nu Mou, Gria? Sure! Homunculus? Vampires? Werebeasts? Rev? Garif? Sounds great!
Jobs are also pretty open. Each has 8 abilities, and if you have an idea for a new one, PM me. The following have already been set:
So interest? Character ideas?

EDIT: So now that I know a few people are interested, here is a character skeleton:
