He doesn't look that old. More like my parents.

[up][up]I thought being middle-aged looking is enough? The current page image don't look that old either...

Hey, if you want to communicate old yet hot then I'm still pushing for using a guy for the image. Even though the trope title is hopelessly gender biased, it also includes older attractive men as part of the trope. Anyway, to use a guy makes the image a lot less ambiguous about their age given an older man will be allowed to look aged as a sign of rugged handsomeness whereas an older woman can't and will generally look a decent few years younger than her age making her easily confused with a middle aged woman as the examples have shown, also it helps dispel the notion it's only about hot women which the title seems to suggest.

[up]Isn't that a discrimination? Some people age well, some people don't, regardless of gender.

That said, my question still stand: how old should the character look to be consider fitting to this trope? For example, the page quote uses Helen Mirren as an example. Does she look old enough to qualify?

It's about looking visibly old, white hair, fine lines, that sort of thing. Helen Mirren looks old enough and with that pose she does look like she's meant to be attractive.

There's always Barbara Eden circa 2013 wearing her Jeannie outfit.

Either the Helen Mirren pic or [up] work for me.

[up][up][up][up] Yes, it is discrimination but like the title doesn't discriminate already against males, every example so far has been exclusively female though the trope specifically states its not exclusive. Trying to address the imbalance here... clearly nobody cares so it's irrelevant.

I don't like the Jeannie pic. Wearing skimpy clothes that would look good on someone half her age does not equal meant to be attractive.

Well, I personally think Helen is more attractive than Barbara, so...

That is kind of irrelevant.

But her "sexy pose" makes that image great, IMO.

Cool. Caption or no? I lean toward no.

If someone can think of anything sufficiently witty I wouldn't mind that. But no caption works.
