I'm perfectly fine with a merge. Just wanted to throw out some alternative titles as an option.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.
Snarky romantic
I'm for merging. Mommy Issues are just more specific form or Freudian Excuse.

I see the redirect has been done and the subpages are fixed; is there anything else that needs to be done with this one?
[up]If there's anything that still needs doing, it's probably been forgotten in the months since that last post, if it wasn't before.

Just to clarify, this trope is a villain-based trope right? Or does anyone with issues with their parents qualify, regardless of their morality?
Since Freudian Excuse is a villain trope, I would say so, yes. That also seems to be have been the goal of Mommy Issues, but the name was generic enough that contributors started to shoehorn it for any character that would fit more under My Beloved Smother or similar tropes, which just made it doubly redundant.

I'm mostly asking because Freudian Excuse have frequently been used in non-villainous contexts as well. The laconic of that page certainly did not specify that as a requirement.
I don't think it is a villain exclusive trope, there are plenty of non-Villain characters with Mommy Issues that cause them to be whatever is plot important, like say Yamada in WORKING!! who's whole reason for being there is due to massive mommy issues.

IMO the villain excuse trope would be a more specific subtrope.

^^ Laconics are rarely an accurate summary of the trope. Every part of the description for Freudian Excuse specifies that it's a "villain excuse" trope, so if people are applying it more broadly we're either dealing with example drift or Missing Supertrope Syndrome.
After some wick cleaning, I'm thinking that we need a disambiguation for Mommy Issues and Daddy Issues rather than merely a redirect to Freudian Excuse. The description for this trope was a duplicate for Freudian Excuse, but the wicks support a bunch of different meanings.

"Mommy/Daddy issues" is a very vague term and is used for things as varied as "villain with an abusive childhood", "non-villain with an abusive childhood" (FE trope drift; we do have Abusive Parents already), any of the tropes in the Parental Issues index, "mother is a literal villain", "character has a volatile relationship with their parent" (too vague to be tropable, me thinks), "Oedipus Complex", "being The Unfavorite in the parent's eyes", "being coddled by the parent". I don't see any established way the trope was used—it's all over the map.

Locking per New Year Purge.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.

What would be the best way to fix the page?
