I saw his recent videos. So the reason why he flanderized Ben T Looney into a comedic character in the revival was because he wanted to stand out from other ranters?
Hello, TV Tropes. Did somebody ask me to get an account?
Is that Ben or another troper with the word Looney on it?

I am he, Ben T.
I saw the video where he defends the videos that came after the series' initial run and have to say that while I understand some parts had to be altered, I disagree with it entirely for the most part. The problem wasn't that Ben changed his opinions as we know opinions can change over time but the thing is that he altered almost all of his original opinions and it feels like he's done it in an attempt to follow the crowd and the evidence of that is, is that he started disliking Phineas and Ferb when half the internet started to have a vendetta against it (I have a problem with this myself as Phineas and Ferb is what made cartoons watchable for a wide audience again and it's always constantly being shortchanged in favor of the other shows. In other words, you wouldn't have Gravity Falls without Pn F), started to get into anime, started to dislike most stuff from the 90s, started to like Adventure Time and Regular Show (Which at that point, I was not surprised because alot of the changes he made seemed like pandering. I don't hate these shows but the way he changed his formula seems like this and Ben forgot to mention that he actually changed his formula before 2013, as I noticed the changes come after his salute on Gravity Falls. Just that those changes didn't completely take over until 2013) and even some classic rock bands he previously enjoyed (although that may be a nitpick but still). The problem isn't that he changed his opinions, it's the fact that he's changed almost all of his old opinions to the point of where he has started flipflopping around with even his new opinions and I can't take him seriously as a reviewer anymore. We don't have a problem with him showing praise to modern things, but we have a problem with him throwing what made him so endearing to his original fans in the first place away in exchange of trying to get his haters to like him. It's not a coincidence that all of these changes started to take effect after the salute on Gravity Falls because every video after that (Although it was beginning to show in his Fred The Show salute, but I think the jokes in the Fred rants were actually funny and worked, it's unfortunate that he did it in almost every video post that certain salute) is when the changes began to take place. He may have wanted to take these videos in this direction in the beginning but what I saw in the beginning was a guy wanting to voice his opinions and take a stand against certain issues that not many people spoke up about. Alot of his opinions were the opposite of the norm and it was so refreshing to see someone speak up about it despite getting flamed and it seemed like he didn't care about opposing opinions at the time (And we as his fans did everything to try and fight his haters away from him. He even acknowledges this in Ben Strikes Back and even in one of his recent videos, he does give acknowledgement to those fans so I think he was consistent in that area) Unfortunately during Neb, Looney T. Ben and the revival of Ben Rants, all of that was thrown away in exchange for "more mainstream opinions", Nostalgia Critic-esque jokes (I like TNC but alot of Ben's jokes are borrowed from him) and flanderization.
As I have said, all of this happened around the time he saluted Gravity Falls which was the time he began to soar in popularity and that's when he started the formula change and the opinion retcons and it's probably to keep that popularity where before Ben wasn't really about being popular, but he was doing his own thing and his original fans supported him through thick and thin. It feels like ever since he got into Gravity Falls that he started to practically disown alot of the stuff he did in the past and that to me is heartbreaking. But I will say I agree with the 90s part though.
Didn't you ever stop to think that maybe I changed my opinions because it just happened naturally?
Also, no, I NEVER catered to my haters. If that's the case, why did I still have negative opinions on these topics:
Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy Ted Family Guy Pokemon Uncle Grandpa Steven Universe Despicable Me Pixar
Also, I only borrowed jokes from the NC during 2012. In 2013, I started to branch off and make my own humor. If it's anything that I borrowed humor from, it would be classic cartoons.
It sounds to me like you only started hating my videos because I became popular. That's the mind set of a hipster.
Speaking of Pokemon, in one of your older videos, you mentioned that you enjoy the games more than the anime. Does this apply to your current self? If so, what was the last Pokemon game you played? (Betting on Pokemon Black/White)
boop I'm more active on hereI haven't played any Pokemon games (or any video games for that matter) in ages... So, I can't answer that question.
Okay, sorry about that.
By the way, I want to ask you a few more questions. Here they are:
1. After watching The Lego Movie, do you want to watch the director's other movies?
2. How do you feel about that new "Wabbit" show coming on CN? I REALLY want it to be good.
3. What are your favorite YouTubers to watch that are in your subscription list?

1. None of their other movie seem inviting to me.
To anonymous: That doesn't look like a show I would like.
Since your newest post might be confusing to some, would you like me to introduce you to some aspects of TV Tropes via PM?
