A Wizard boyHuh? The core aspect of MacGuffin is that it drive the plot while not being all that important by itself. That is not the same thing as "not doing anything".
The GOAT?I was on my way to editing the mac guffin page anyway, but let me leave with this before I make any further arguments, just to make it clear I am not changing the page to make my arguments seem correct.
MacGuffin (a.k.a. McGuffin or maguffin) is a term for a motivating element in a story that is used to drive the plot. It serves no further purpose. It won't pop up again later, it won't explain the ending, it won't do anything except possibly distract you while you try to figure out its significance. In some cases, it won't even be shown. It is usually a mysterious package/artifact/superweapon that everyone in the story is chasing.and the laconic
A plot device which nobody actually uses, and whose nature and identity are basically irrelevant.See, the main pages urges the reader not to confuse a mac guffin with a Plot Device, so at the very least I will be changing part of the laconic. The point here being is that if an object is able to turn into a living thing, then its form and function are actually pretty relevant because we don't know anything that does that in real life. That's the power legends are made of not something you could call a MacGuffin.
That's why he wants you to have the money. Not so you can buy 14 Cadillacs but so you can help build up the wastes
Here is a potential name that I thought of: "personified MacGuffin"
Human Morphed Mac Guffin? custom title: Human-morphed MacGuffin.
Hot 4 ShellyIf the trope's not possible with a true MacGuffin then Animate Plot Device?
"There is no Fermi paradox! Any time space fairing aliens make it to Earth the cows get them!"
Here's the sandbox for the supertrope again. If we're done with Mac Guffin Turned Human, which others do we need name crowners for? I think it might be all of them.
A Wizard boyBumping, since it's not clear what has to be done here.
We need crowners for the tropes at Sandbox.Mac Guffin Person Reveal, Sandbox.Mac Guffin Hostage, Sandbox.Mundane Mac Guffin Person, and Sandbox.Mac Guffin Super Person. It wouldn't be remiss to get a crowner for Sandbox.Living Mac Guffin as well, but I think it was largely agreed that that name works fine for the supertrope.
A Wizard boyI would suggest to link all crowners and their results in the OP if you don't act upon any newly called crowner immediately.
We've only had one crowner, with one result (Animate Mac Guffin got Mac Guffin Turned Human as a name). These are all new tropes, since we're solving the rat's nest by burning it down and starting over.
A Wizard boyYes. If you are running a set of crowners putting the already done ones in the OP is what I am proposing.
I guess. It seems like it would make it cluttered, but we'll see. Anyway, new alt names crowner, for Sandbox.Mac Guffin Person Reveal this time. Not fond of either of the options at the moment, but they're all I can think of.
Anime-tedHave all the wicks for Animate Mac Guffin been fixed yet? I wanted to check before hooking the next crowner.
A Wizard boyActually, the idea is to get all crowners voted upon before starting to implement each of them.
Yeah, Animate Mac Guffin was never a trope, and Mac Guffin Turned Human hasn't been implemented yet. The whole MacGuffin Girl/Holy Child/The President's Daughter/ everything else are just so mixed up that it was agreed to start all over.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
