SF-81A Black KnightHow about Mac Guffin In Human Form?

Dragon WriterMore like Mac Guffin Given Human Form. Which is a mouthful.

Just starting outI agreen Mac Guffin Given Human Form is descriptive, but I prefer Mac Guffin Is A Person.
21 hours per week is not too much television. —Witch Hunter Robin
Dragon WriterWhich is too close to Living MacGuffin a.k.a. Person Is The Mac Guffin.
Editor of PostsHow about Mac Guffin Turned Human? That seems to bring the meaning across pretty well while not being too long. As a sidenote, I checked Living MacGuffin and it seems to suffer from A Face And A Caption syndrome.

I just used the same picture from Main.Living Mac Guffin for the sandbox. Helen of Troy is probably one of those rare "Well-known enough to not count for JAFAAC" examples, but if you disagree we can look for another.
One last bump for votes. I still think Mac Guffin Turned Human is bland, and that Mac Guffin Anthropomorphosis is better, but we'll see which way the crowner goes when it's done.
SF-81A Black KnightHonestly, Mac Guffin Turned Human is both clearer and easier to spell.
Mac Guffin Turned Human is... <cringe> but there is Zero room for ambiguity at least. what is this currently named as again? wanna look at some straight ecamples for reference.
Technically, it's currently named MacGuffin Girl, but to be honest the trope de facto does not exist, since MacGuffin Girl is misused so much. That's why we're just doing a full overhaul for all of them. Anyway, I guess 11-3 is pretty clear. Time to call the crowner?

Dragon WriterI agree with @136, in that the name isn't 'good' so much as the alternatives are worse. (Which is how we wound up with a name like Lampshaded Double Entendre, something I'm loath for a repeat of.)

SF-81A Black Knight@136: For a good straight example, I direct you to Warcraft: The Sunwell Trilogy. The Sunwell is the MacGuffin, but it was transformed into the girl Anveena to hide it.
Mac Guffin Turned Human isn't much of a name as it is a laconic.
but well, "Clear, acceptable." No objections on that one. @139, I see. though now i'm quite hard pressed on recalling an example of this. all examples I've known to be a "human macguffin" is the non-turned-into kind.

Editor of PostsTheres also Super Paper Mario, where the twist at the end of Chapter 7 is that Luvbi is actually the Pure Heart, transformed into a Nimbi to keep it secret.
That one's Mac Guffin Person Reveal (which we haven't chosen a name for yet).
Mac Guffin Turned Human is bland, but it isn't setting off my clunky alarms, so I can't say I feel strongly about it either way.
Rhymes with "Protracted."
SF-81A Black Knight@139, I see. though now i'm quite hard pressed on recalling an example of this. all examples I've known to be a "human macguffin" is the non-turned-into kind. Which is the definition we're using for Living MacGuffin now.

Editor of PostsDo you think of "Was Once A Mac" could work as a name?

SF-81A Black KnightThat makes me think of people transformed into computers.
burgers here, damn, now i'm hungry.
just go with Was Once A Mac Guffin if you're going on that route.

Anime-tedIIIiiii...wasssss onnnceeee...a mmaaaaaaac... Couldn't resist.
It's been added. I still prefer Mac Guffin Anthropomorphosis, but Was Once A Mac Guffin is at least better than the bland Mac Guffin Turned Human.
