@23: By today's standards, the Wright brothers' first aircraft was more or less a piece of junk. But there's also an inherent coolness about it (mainly because it was the first powered aircraft ever), so it wouldn't be an example.

The problem with the Falcon is that although Luke claims it's a piece of junk (by in-universe standards), the Falcon operates perfectly well during its debut movie, including pulling a Big Damn Heroes right at the climax. It isn't until several years later (when The Empire Strikes Back) that the junky aspect is actually given any screen time whatsoever.

At the moment, I think the version of the wheelie vw in 25 has the edge.

This trope needs to show 2 things: - Ugliness - Badassery/usefulness/whatever you call it (despite ugliness)

He does...he was the only cool VW beetle I could think of aside from the original Bumblebee from G1 Transformers. *shrug*

Since we don't have a lot of consensus for Larkmarn's caption suggestion, I've put it up but not tagged the page to keep both the caption and pic...if someone thinks of something better, go ahead and change it. Locking up.
