Crisis, A Capcom/Namco/Sega RP Player's Lounge discussion board

Hello folks and welcome to the official board of Crisis, an RP inspired from crossovers by Capcom/Namco/Sega and by the recent worldwide release of Project x Zone to all territories.

Feel free to talk about the game, wind down and relax and take a break or to ask about certain character choices before you signup in case you're interested. Also feel free to use this board to brainstorm ideas/plot ideas.

As for the RP thread. Well, you'll need to head to the RP forum page. For now, it's not on yet. I expect at least someone to try and signup for a Transformers character from a Sega-published arcade game or something. Although if you're interested, you can still join up. I'll start the game within the week.

In terms of universes (confirmed with character choices), here's what I got:

For the "real world", I'll tie in universes from the Getaway, Street Fighter, the .hack games/anime series, Universe of War and Devil May Cry.

The classic Mega Man and MM: Battle Network universes would be seen as a distant and possible futures.

The only thing different is with the Naruto and Sakura Taisen series, which is seen as a possible alternate universes.

Well, it could be interesting I suppose. Having to protect Kite's real world body from being killed.

Suppose I were to play as a Megaman EXE character. How would they interact with characters from the "Real World"? Would they be able to work with the .hack related PC's?

Well Saint, all characters here can go in and out of cyberspace without a problem, whether they want to or not. :P

Welp, I figure this is as good a time as any to bring this back up; it's already been stated that nobody knows each other, but do our characters know of each other?

@Aken

- In this reboot, some characters will know each other due to reputation based on the universe mix that I did or from other games (e.g. Ryu and Mitsurugi would know each other due to the fact that they fought together in one mission against Soul Edge in Namco x Capcom).

@saintdane05

- What Stephen said. A Megaman.EXE character will probably interact with the other characters via their cyberspace body like how Kite and Black Rose interact with the cast from Project X Zone with their "The World" avatars and not their real bodies. Anyhow, SR does have an interesting thought on whether Kite's real body could be killed off.

If you're seriously joining with a Megaman.EXE character, post a signup sheet and let me know.

Speaking of which, I wonder where Nes Classic went off to?

Also someone suggested this to me in terms of making the story more interesting from the fanfiction thread. This is from Asura's Wrath.

I'm against it. Chakravartin is literally God, and he can fire lasers larger than the Milky Way. Also, if Asura's Wrath is canon, that means his fight with Ryu (where Ryu got shoryuken'd to the moon, survives getting shoved through the atmosphere so hard it looks like something burning on re-entry decided to just go home, and discovers he can breath in space so he can fight Asura on the moon) might be canon.

Seriously, pretty much everything in the Asura's Wrath universe is hilariously overpowered.

Hmmm... Yeah you could be right on that.

I'll probably reserve that for fanfiction.

In the meantime, we'll be starting the RP in-universe stuff in the UK. I'll probably implement the mooks from Project x Zone, though I'll need info on their attack methods.

I'll start getting the first post for the RP thread later on when I can.

Question is though, you want your characters to get pre/post-one-liner before they kick ass against an enemy/boss character?

Yes, I think Toni would have some excellent lines for that.

Yes to the one-liners. You just can't have Street Fighter without one-liners. After all, you need to go home and be a family man to stand a chance!

Mitsurugi can do some badass one-liners if he has a chance

Then I'll make it RP policy for our characters to have one-liners prior and after kicking enemy mook/boss butt in battle.

Orlok isn't one for cheesy one-liners, he merely states how fucked his enemies are and when they fall, either dismiss them as fodder or admit that they fought well... For a primitive.

Letting you folks know that I'm going to work on the intro post soon since I have to leave for Hong Kong as an extended part of my recuperation from radiotherapy on my head.

Most dotHack enemies fight very simply. They tend to wander around for a bit, then go in for a melee strike, then wander again rinse and repeat. They'll cast spells if they have them at random. In project X, all enemies act the same anyway. Just do different animations. :P

I'll be leaving the house for the airport pretty soon, so no major postings from me until perhaps in the afternoon, UTC+8 time.

I'll still be able to check anyone's signup sheets though, but will not probably update the roster for the same reason.

Also, will posting a character help wanted list be useful here?

When will I have the Hierarchy come knocking on Earth's door? When the Dimensions finally clash? Or just before?

That would probably happen before. But wait for the next post since I need to board the plane.

So, is Kite in the 'modern' real world which many crossovers coexist such as Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter, etc? Or is his real world different from the others.

Also, for some reason I want to see the group face off against Bass.EXE. Especially as Bass.EXE is much, much more powerful than Bass. And Bass.EXE would attack Bass with Prodigious, seeing him an attempt to copy his own power. Which is very insulting.

Just an update that I arrived safe and sound in Hong Kong. I'm doing this message right now from my phone, so I'm trying to settle in.

- Currently, The hackverse is integrated with the universe I made up with some changes to the story to make it consistent with the other verses mixed in. Also looked at the link you mentioned, very curious.

@Strigon

- Is it fine if Orlok gets sucked into a dimensional rift that brings him closer to the UK and Ireland.

@Everyone

- Since I'm typing this on the phone, I'll try to gain access to a computer and post the next one before dimensional rift shenanigans happens. Also, someone PMed me and is interested to join 'cause the RP remind him of Project x Zone, which is one of the main inspiration for this RP.
