The only Troma movie I remember seeing was Plutonium Baby. Which sucked. So yeah.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."That's one of the most obscure of them all. You must live in/by an indie video store.
No, we just watch crap movies like this in a certain Troper Coven, and Troma has made scores and scores of their movies available online for free.
On the few occasions that we we've watched a Troma picture as a group, we've never seen a movie they'd be more widely known for (or a movie that has garnered a substantial cult following, for that matter). Perhaps the "best" Troma flick we've watched, so far, is Chopper Chicks in Zombietown (not that it was particularly memorable or anything; I'm just glad it didn't flat out bore me to death, like their more obscure, cheaper bullshit like Plutonium Baby and I Was a Teenage TV Terrorist).
One day, I'd like to hope we get to give some of their "better known" titles (Class of Nuke 'Em High, Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Cannibal! The Musical). With any luck, we could possibly appreciate, at least, one of those as well as we do Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter, but Troma has such a bad rep with some of us that we just don't have the enthusiasm to make it happen anytime too soon.

I've been meaning to watch Troma classics like Class of Nuke 'Em High, Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Cannibal! The Musical, Tromeo and Juliet etc.
They just look so odd, interesting but somewhat cool.

I'm on Youtube Reviewing Things Cause I can.I think Kabukiman is as family-friendly as Troma gets, at least as far as their in-house productions go.
I never finished Cannibal! but what I saw was funny.
Wait, Teenage TV Terrorist was Troma?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Yep. Their boxart really makes it look FUN◊, doesn't it?
Some of their movies are campy fun (The Toxic Avenger, Killer Condom, Stuck on You!). Some of them are sheer cinematic brutality (Fat Guy Goes Nutzoid!).
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!Rather disturbing, truth be told...
Is there no affection from anybody for Troma? Hell, I won't even go looking for that much. Just knowledge of Troma's existence. They brought the world The Toxic Avenger(and regrettably, Toxic Avengers 2-3), distributed films nobody else would, like The Last Horror Film, Combat Shock, and...My Neighbor Totoro, and they've made all sorts of crap that runs the gamut from amazing and hilarious blood-soaked trash, to movies that are painful to sit through.
Everybody probably knows at least one person who would have their faith in a benevolent higher power shaken by a Troma film.
