Bomberman 64 The Second Attack is my childhood.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterI concur with this. I've even had this really-fleshed-out, novel-length fan fic sequel developing in my head for years. It still holds up to me, surprisingly XD
Graffiti. My. Page. due eet naoIt is a shame what happened with Husdon. Will Konami ever bring back Bomberman in some way shape or form?
I quite enjoyed every single Bomberman game I got my hands on, most notably Tournament, 64, Generation and Jetters.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefMy earliest exposure to Bomberman was the NES version which I actually got somewhat decent at. I also remember being repeatedly schooled by cousins in one of the DOS versions/ports/ripoffs. I also spent a lot of time banging my head against the Japanese version of Bomberman Adventure on the Gameboy. Probably the most fun I've had with the franchise was in a traditional GB installment whose name escapes me.
I still regard the blast range powerup as the most hilarious powerup in all of gaming history, with the kick being a close second.
EDIT: That last GB installment I mentioned had a powerup that let me fill the entire lane in front of me with bombs by doubletapping. That was pretty awesome too.

I started with Super Bomberman 2 for the SNES a long time ago at a cousin's house. I was hooked on the series ever since.
It's a shame that the series, along with Adventure Island and Bonk, is in limbo right now though.
Eh.Bomberman's actually the only Hudson franchise I'm particularly familiar with. I was tempted to get those other two on VC at some point, but decided against it.
Graffiti. My. Page. due eet nao@Izon: Have you read Fateful Meetings? It's a novel-length adaptation of TSA, granted, one that takes quite a few liberties with the source material. Despite that, it's a pretty good read, unfortunately it seems to be a borderline Dead Fic.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterI loved Bomberman... on the SNES.
I've only played one 3D Bomberman game, and it was terrible. Bomberman Generation is the current bane of my existance, actually, since its all my little brother wants to do. I just... can I have the grid back? Please? Maybe a kangaroo? Those are fun.
I only own 3 Bomberman games. 64, 64: The Second Attack, and the crossover with Gameboy game with Wario. I think it was called Wario Blast. Been a while.
It's a fun series, but I don't like his usual One-Hit Wonder stuff. I like that The Second Attack gave him more hearts, though.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.I've come across that person a number of times. Never directly contacted her, but she apparently transcribed the entire game's dialogue on Game FA Qs. Including tons of trivia bits, like the original Japanese titles for the Astral Knights.
Read some of her shorter fics, like the mythology she created for the Angel. Though her style (at least at the time) doesn't really match up with the kinda book I'd want to read, so I haven't dedicated the time to her whole novel (especially since I think she only got up to Starlight or something).
She's also apparently a really good artist on Deviant Art. With some very good Bomberman stuff.

Graffiti. My. Page. due eet naoMy first and only Bomberman was Super Bomberman for the SNES. I still play it with friends to this day. Also ActZero never happened.
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashAs far as the classic games go, I think I've only played "Bomberman '93" (for TG 16 via Virtual Console), and Bomberman DS (which is a remake of the very original, I believe).
Graffiti. My. Page. due eet naoNever played any Bomberman game, but I wanted to play the N64 ones. I tried a SNES one once and kept getting hurt by my own bombs.
Also, this.
Well this was just about the last thread I ever expected to resurrect, but lo.
At least one franchise from Konami seems to be escaping the shitter.
When I thought "Konami is making a game for the Nintendo Switch", my mind just went straight to Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Collection or Metal Gear Survive for the Switch.
So seeing a new Bomberman game from them kinda got me by surprise. I mean, it makes sense to have Bomberman for something as family-friendly as the Switch, but it's still unexpected that we're getting a brand spanking new Bomberman game after so long.
Regardless of the game, we should still #FuckKonami, right?
This sentence kind of made me pause. Isn't Konami notorious for not telling people anything about their own games?
If so, then it's pretty funny to assume that after everything that's happened to Konami, the PR guys were like "if anyone from a gaming website asks about Super Bomberman R, tell them EVERYTHING YOU CAN ABOUT SUPER BOMBERMAN R!!!!"
Or maybe Nintendo's PR had a Splattershot pointed at Konami's PR before that interview telling him/her to spill the beans or else...

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Good point.
Who the hell is going to buy this game for 50 euros/dollars?
And it's the same price digitally, too, by the looks of it!

(sheepishly raises hand)
I was kind of expecting the game to cost something like 40 dollars like Captain Toad Treasure Tracker did, myself, and while 50 buck seems kind of steep, it's at least better than costing 60 dollars.

"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"I was planning on getting this game. Maybe it will be cheaper when I finally get a Switch.
I loved playing Bomberman as a child. My friends would play Bomberman 64 all the time when we where younger.
I also played Pocket Bomberman on the Gameboy, and Bomberman Live on XBLA.
So I would definitely love to play Bomberman on the Switch.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
Surprisingly, there doesn't appear to be a thread for dis.
We all morn the recent Konami buy-out of Hudson, but there sure have been a lot of Bomberman games over the years.
Though it seems some like the traditional multiplayer games the most, I kinda have a nack for the late90s-early00s story modes. You guys?
