So anyway, wanna know why the Big Bad of SW 5 attacked New York? The same reason Tokyo and Paris was attacked in SW 1 & 2 (for Tokyo) 3 (Paris) and 4 (Tokyo again, since the Paris team moved to Japan to team up with the original team) The cities have this plebotinum thing under them.
Rachet was the blond with the nice suit, right? Her two former teammates debuted in the 2nd game.
I know it via the Sakura Wars Let's Play I mentioned... 10 US$ to access the forums, seriously? That's roughly 100.000 Rupiahs in Indonesia!
Bah, doesn't matter. I heard Sega is rebooting the franchise, is that true?
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Where'd you hear that?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."There was that browser based thing a year or so back but I haven't heard anything else. It doesn't help that RED was bought by some Chinese company.
Not Three Laws compliant.Okay, I think I just derped; I meant to say I read it on a local game magazine. Sorry, dunno why I typed that.
Still, the only image I remember regarding that was this chick/dude who looks like a lady with white hair on a forest area. That's it.
Let's talk something else; Sakura Taisen characters in Project X Zone! What do ya think?
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Eh. Neutral. I guess it's good for getting the series more exposure, but I dunno if it'll sell enough to where it'd matter.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."x5 Paris in ST 3 at least had the advantage of being attacked by a native malignant power, the vengeful spirits of the Parisii or something (been a while since I've played). Oda Nobunaga attacking New York just came across as a bit weird.

I don't know if Project X Zone will get much notice. The demo was amusing, and the game will be officially released in North America in a couple days (two weeks before Europe and Australia). Maybe it will bring an example or two of Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.".
Aside from the browser game, there's been just a few other professionally made Sakura Wars properties in the recent past. The Hanadegumi manga is a gender flip with an all-new cast, with three volumes written so far (just two scanlated chapters though). Red Entertainment made two similar games (Scared Rider Zechs and its sequel) that are gender flips, but I don't know if they were considered successful on PS2 or PSP.
Current fan efforts include the Facebook campaign Kiss Me Sweet and a planned similar freeware game called Memories Neverlasting. There were plans to fan translate a Windows version of Sakura Wars 1, but it seems to have died quietly.
Too bad; guess we have another Shenmue...
Whoa, a Shenmue-Sakura Taisen crossover...
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.If you don't want me to talk about the comparison between SW 5 and FFXIII, then I'll just give this a picture. This is my final post on this topic.

"Final"
Somehow I doubt that.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Well, what do you think about that?
I think I've stopped caring.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."sega please give us this one
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~Civia...This is going to end up being a mobile game, won't it?
This song needs more love.Sakura Taisen.
I never played the games but actually read the translations because I love the animated characters so much. They're my favorite of all dating simulators because steampunk + mecha + samurai girls is just awesome.
I'm also old enough that I'm not embarrassed this was a thing for me in my high school years.
Sumire and Sakura were my two books with Erica on the outer edge.
[pause]
Which, wow, is Betty and Veronica with a Cheryl Blossom. How...traditional.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters....I don't even remember following this thread.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."What exactly are these games like? I only know of them from Project X Zone.
They're basically SRP Gs with a mix of Visual Novel/Dating Sims.
To be more specific, you start with the latter, then move on to the former. How you handle character relationships in the V Ns is crucial to making the SRPG part easier.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Oh, that sounds cool.
It is VERY cool. We did get one game brought over and translated on the PS 2. Its the fifth installment in the series, but save for a couple very early game cameos it stands on its own plotwise.
I'd suggest picking it up if you can find it. It goes for around twenty bucks to boot.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)
The other thing that's funny is the identity of the ultimate villain. I mean, why is Nobunaga attacking New York City, of all places?
Again, that's just a coincidence. The english voice actors are different, Sakura Wars took forever to get released and Final Fantasy XIII was in development for ages.
