Well whaddaya know! I thought Respawn's idea would've been some Call of Duty knock-off, but they've actually got a half-decent and original idea!
Well hell, color me interested. Games need more giant mechs.
Could use a better color pallet though.

Bleye knows Sabers.
Yeah Call of Duty with Robots!
We already had Call Of Duty with robots.
This looks more like Hawken.
Wait, is this for the Xbone?
Bleye knows Sabers. And PC, and I guess a different team is doing a 360 version.
Microsoft clearly paid for this exclusive.

Oh, good. I saw "For Xbox" and "Next gen" and got scared for a second.
Bleye knows Sabers.Well Microsoft clearly made sure Sony didn't get this game (Initially, for all we know)
Wait, from the makers of the original Modern Warfare comes a game about Mech Pilots, who can also ground pound while the Mech is autonomous, and it's on the Source Engine?
Wow.
I know, the idea that they could make a new concept is crazy, right?!
Will be interesting to see how they handle the movement scaling between mechs and infantry. If a mech is going to feel exactly like a GI when it runs then from the real GI's perspective the thing will be zipping around at at least 100 kph.
Sounds quite a bit like Hawken...well except the pilot can also be on the ground part...
Surprising things:
- Also on PC (hope it has dedicated server)
- Not run off the mill FPS
- Source engine

So it's Battlefield with some aerial moves and some moments of Heavy Gear. Graphically its not as big a step up from the current BF as I was expecting but then again we were all expecting progress to slow down in this area.
Kinect controls will work much better in this style of gameplay than in what SBHA had, that's for sure.
Look how fast they're moving. Look at that field of movement.
This actually looks like a video game. Hellz yeah.
Bleye knows Sabers. Is it just me, or does this look like Lost Planet if it had been designed by an American company?
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenAs if that's a bad thing?
^ Heh.
Anyway, for a Source engine game, it actually looks damn good...
Give me cute or give me...something?I've heard that it's only a timed exclusive, and that it'll be on PS 4 in a number of months or a year after release.
Wow, what an albumI like the idea of having a cutscene play as players load into the game and the countdown begins. Problem is, I think it'd lose some of the effect if you connected to the server a bit too late.
Also, Source Engine is an interesting choice for the team, since Respawn's staff have likely only really dealt with whatever bastard version of Id Tech 3 they used back when they worked for Activision.
I'll wait and see what the PC version is like. If it's more than just a simple console port, I might pick it up, since I like mecha.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelWhy would it need to be more than a simple console port, though? As long as the controls are converted properly, the netcode works ok and there's enough settings to keep the can-it-run-Crysis crowd happy that's good enough. That and staying away from whatever passes as Games for Windows nowadays.
Most interesting game shown at E3 so far. Between this and Star Citizen, I really need to build a gaming pc.
No amount of appeasement will work with the hardcore Crysis fans. As far as they're concerned, any game that also has a console version is nothing but a sell-out that has been scaled down and will be a waste of their time. Take my word for it, I've tried (fruitlessly) dealing with some of those morons firsthand...
So they're not Crysis 2 or 3 fans as well, I take it.
When I said this looks like Lost Planet, I was referring to the second game, where most of the characters had helmets like they have in Titan Fall. Even the butt-rockets look like the backpacks in Lost Planet. However, I find it amusing that Lost Planet had more American-style walking tanks, while the Titans are more Japan-style humanoids.

Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged Men
Debut game from Respawn Entertainment and Xbox exclusive.
All the Ewoks will look up and shout, "Save us from the Klingons!" And I'll whisper, "Why so serious?"
