The President's Daughter or Living MacGuffin specifically? From the description alone it basically sounds like a Living MacGuffin except that its a young child. Perhaps this trope should be merged? Or Cut?
Gentleman Troper!I'm not seeing any distinction here, no.
Special trousers. Very heroic.
A Wizard boyThis came up in the Trope Description Improvement Drive. I would just dump this article.
No, the other one.It looks like a mystical version of The President's Daughter. Which is a distinction I don't see a reason for making. Move examples, cut page?
Gentleman Troper!I agree.
Special trousers. Very heroic.
The President's Daughter. I support cut and merge.
Yeah, cut and merge.
PiffyCut and merge.
Because underscores break everything: Working link to my Troper page
Dragon WriterAs names go The President's Daughter is definitely one of those that I will never respect, because it's named directly after only one version of itself, when the actual definition is cosmetically broader.

The President's Daughter is always female. Holy Child is not.

No, the other one. It's in the lump of "women and children". Someone innocent who needs protecting. I'd support a rename of The President's Daughter if that trope had significant misuse.
Dragon WriterIMHO a Holy Child is much more of a "thing" than The President's Daughter. TPD isn't desirable for who they are, but instead used to manipulate the ones responsible over them. HC can go either way — they might actually have powers or value beyond their connections.

No, the other one.I can see a difference between one being important for what they are and possibly what powers they have, and the other for what connections they have. I don't think the descriptions support that, though.
Dragon WriterThere's also that a Holy Child is also frequently a Chosen One of some flavor. No such thing with TPD.
Holy Child is basically someone who is sought after because of what they are? Don't we already have a trope for that?
A Wizard boyMacGuffin Girl, but only ignoring the "transformation" bit.
A Wizard boyThat for me looks more like a person that is physically searched, not like a MacGuffin.
A Wizard boyI do not think we have consensus here, but I can't check as the connection keeps crawling.
I oppose merging this. Is anyone going to suggest doing something with this page that isn't merging and purging?
A Wizard boyWell, for one thing, you may propose something yourself instead of demanding it from us. I may recommit for keeping this, but I would have to analyze a bit further.

I don't have a change to propose, but it wasn't me who said this page "Needs Help."
