The Alphys date is probably the best non-song part of the musical. I really love Alphys' voice actress in this and the whole roleplaying part was just gold.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)
The creator of the Dreemurr Reborn comic is having some financial troubles right now and will likely not be able to keep working until they're resolved. If anyone has some spare cash, feel free to donate.
Undertale: the Musical is fucking amazing. I absolutely loved it, and I would love to see it on stage as an official Undertale production. Is that even something Toby could legally do? Just put his stamp of approval on it and get it made into an actual play?
I was a little confused by their decision to move around some scenes, like both of Sans' meals. I could also see cutting a few minutes out of the longer songs to squeeze in a short Mad Dummy song and some stuff with the hotel working well.
There's a video where the director of the project (the person who also does Mettaton's voice) explains why some songs weren't included among other things.

I mean, Mad Dummy is explicitly not a dummy monster, but a ghost monster who decided to possess a dummy. He's the same species as Napstablook and Mettaton, and he's bonded to the dummy in the same way Mettaton is bonded to his robot body. Including Mad Dummy could help flesh out the ghost family more, as it is, there's almost no indication of any relation between Napstablook and Mettaton aside from Napsta being a fan. There are some songs that felt like they dragged a little and could stand to have some fat trimmed, most notably Papyrus' battle.
I agree on the "they should have explicitly mentioned Napsta and Metta being cousins" point but I don't think the mad Dummy fight was the best place for that.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. They went through all the important plot stuff and all things considered Mettaton and Napstablook is unrelated to the game's plot. Yes, Napstablook calling Mettaton helps end the fight but it wasn't just their call that made Mettaton stop, it just shook him a little and everyone else sending similar messages was what put an end to it.
Their relationship is more like trivia that you find out after everything is said and done (most people wouldn't backtrack just to go find out where the mystery key went into and Mettaton's fight is right after the point where it becomes available) and the only thing that really reveals it are the diaries and it would be awkward to fit those into the musical. So I understand why they omitted it

Forever liveblogging the AvengersYou guys remember Underveil? Apparently they made more albums. And a sequel album with the added tracks from the genocide run.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersHello, everyone. I have a rather odd question.
For the King Papyrus ending, if you only did the minimum requirements for it(killing Toriel, Undyne, and Mettaton, and no other monster) - what LV would you have by the endgame?
Whoa hey this is out on PS4 tomorrow.
That might be the best trophy list I've ever seen?
I have a message from another time...Dog shrine, huh.
I'd guess that that'll either be the room with the Artifact, the secret door, or maybe in a new hidden area entirely. Would be interesting if he put So Sorry somewhere more accessible, and hid the dog shrine where he used to be.
I have a message from another time...No Genocide speciific trophies? Impressive.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowNo ending specific trophies at all, mind you.
I was wondering if he'd go this way about them or not. Since having a genocide trophy or multiple endings trophy would kind of go agtainst the message of the game.

On the one hand, any route-specific trophies would have been horribly against the game's tone (except possibly, as I suggested when it came up originally, maybe a single trophy for the geno ending with an ambiguous name/icon). On the other hand, having exclusively trophies that you are guaranteed to hit in the course of a normal game means the trophies are a waste, and very pointless except possibly as an avenue for jokes (which is the direction he went).
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)I was expecting the PS 4 release to be on the game's anniversary but I guess it came exactly one month earlier.
Undertale trophies making a joke out of how ultimately useless trophies are fits the tone.
The Undertale musical is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. And having watched the full version, I'm even more impressed. They improved some of the songs from the version that they had on Soundcloud (I think), and they made up or spliced together a lot of good silly dialog outside the songs. (I especially like the conversation after the Asriel fight; it's a super-cut between three major exposition dumps to get all the important info and impactful lines in one place, while shifting some of Asriel's lines to Frisk).
I think His Theme at the end managed to overtake Spear of Justice as my favorite, just because THE FEELS.
