This global saturation's gonna kill the franchise faster than it did Guitaar Hero.

Hey, Street Fighter and Monster Hunter have far more titles and arguably less change in each successive game. If Capcom is still motivated to grind those franchises out they aren't dropping RE any time soon.

I'm reminded that Resident Evil 6 was considered a "Failure".

I'm also reminded that the reason Resident Evil 6 was considered a failure was because the marketing budget was too small.

And then I snigger.

Well, make Claire the protagonist again and I'll play it. Code: Veronica was always my fave.

Your plan is terrible.

I propose a compromise: Claire's head, Chris's arms.

Chris's torso, Jill's legs (she has the best legs). And the black corset from Rocky Horror too keep it all together.

I guess Capcom really REALLY wants to milk The World Is Always Doomed trope for all its worth.

Just bring back everybody you haven't killed!

Chris, Brunette Jill, Leon, Claire, Ada, Jake, Sherry, Rebecca, Barry, Billy, Parker, Sheva, Helena, Jessica, Josh and Carlos.

hell you can find some way to fit Manuela and Ashley in there

What about Steve? **** STEVE!

with Alex Wesker as the main villain, with Hunk and the Wolf pack as his evil miniboss squad and if you must have a blond battlesuit Jill just make a clone.

You think it's time for a reboot? I wouldn't support frivolous rebooting, but I think they pretty much did everything they can with this franchise right now.

A reboot really wouldn't accomplish anything except Make Umbrella the main villains again with the less obtuse BO Ws back as the major enemies.

and we'd be back to Arklay mountain/ Raccoon City scenarios all over again and frankly The Scenario has been done... I mean you can only show so many perspectives on the events before it seems like your just too attached to that part of the story.

RE's problem really seems to stem from the fact is they built Wesker's grand scheme up and... it's pretty much Spencer's and then Dealt with basically both of the series MAJOR villains in the same game in something that didn't feel like a grand finale to the Umbrella arc. Essentially they blew their pay off too early and RE 6 it kind of shows in how well thought out the villains are.

-You don't have your new villains mock your old ones... and then have them basically do the exact same plan and make dumber mistakes... at least you could blame Wesker's loss of clarity on overdose-

Well, if this was true color me excited. grin I actually loved 6 tons and thought it was a major improvement over 5. I'm interested to see where they take the series from here. Crazy opinion, I'm sure.

Why did they burry the fireman behind the tree? BECAUSE HE'S DEAD!

I liked the way 6 was told, because the Sonic Adventure style of storytelling is something I wish more games would have.

I was less fond of the actual story, however. Frankly, I feel the series kind of died with its main villain, Albert Wesker. Umbrella's gone, Wesker's gone, and now they're just desperately clinging to whatever ideas they can come up with to justify more zombie adventures.

Well there is still a Wesker out there. And the Plot from Revelations. They got some stuff they could use. They just need to be able to write it correctly and to prevent the characters from getting older have them happen in short distance within each other.

Frankly, the series needs to stop in terms of story. I find it very unbelievable now that no matter how many times the character stop a viral threat, a new one just pops up for them to do it all over again. There's just no sense of closure anymore.

Given the nature of Viruses and diseases...that's pretty much a forgone conclusion. There is always something new and with bio-terrorism being a thing. There will be even more viruses.
