Guess who's the guy still uploading fanfic chapters at crazy times? This guy!

Yeah, I'll admit that the quality of writing definitely improves as time goes on. Monkey Queen was the first long-term fanfic project that I actually have been able to see through to some extent, so there's definitely been a lot of time put in to workshop my skills for character interaction and action as the series goes on.

Fair warning: We blitzed through the Pilaf saga.

Well, the Pilaf saga is pretty short.

In the anime it's only about 14 episodes isn't it?

So, I've often brainstormed a potential story where Goku never came to Earth.

I've wondered how to make this happen, and it dawned on me a while back that the only way to prevent the ''Raditz / Frieza / Buu eventually murders everyone ending is to have three different Nails:

• The Saiyans never leave their original Planet of Sadal;

• Beerus happens to wake up and Hakai the hell out of Bibidi before he can create Buu;

• Frieza is never born.

Not sure where to go from there however. Though I'm thinking, with no Goku around, Gohan Sr. never dies, and is probably the one that Bulma meets and travels with.

Chapter 2 of the Reincarnated as Yamcha manga came out.

I've always had this idea for a Justice League-type fan fic, except with anime characters, where Goku ends getting ordered by Chi-Chi to go into the city and make money fighting crime. And since Gohan wants to be a scholar she'd have Goku put on the Great Saiyaman costume to hide his identity. I thought this was a perfectly valid idea until the episode came where he fought Saiyaman and I just don't think Goku would pull it off. But then consider the episode where he stopped those robbers.

Goku would absolutely love the idea of fighting people for a living, but he'd get bored with it after the first 24 hours where no strong monsters/fighters show up.

Extrapolating:

He'd go into the city dressed as Great Saiyaman and he'd try out for the Hero Association. But just as he's about to take the physical exam the city comes under attack by Hollows from Bleach.

This leads to a big Avengers-style fight sequence where Goku, Medaka Kurokami, Saitama, Yusuke Urameshi, and Shiro Emiya battle the Hollows culminating in a final battle with Sosuke Aizen, still strapped to the chair that Kisuke Urahara imprisoned him in. Saitama goes to punch him and Aizen traps him in that weird ray of light he used to escape after the Soul Society arc, removing Saitama from the fight. Then Goku, Medaka, Shiro, Yusuke and some other names I've forgotten already gank him.

Long story short Goku continues to pose as Great Saiyaman and is basically the "Superman" of the team.

Battle Of Gods gets rewritten to include appearances from other "anime superheroes" who end up coming to Bulma's birthday party.

I don't know anything about Yusuke Urameshi. But I think that sounds like a pretty neat idea assuming you mean for Shirou to be the Hawkeye of the team.

Otherwise he's a bit of an outlier.

Avengers with Shounen heroes sounds like a really fun idea though.

Also, uh, given the other character's you're using you might want to post it somewhere with minimal fan feedback.

I can think of a few forum environments where about half of that team would result in pages upon pages of arguments about power levels.

One hundred chapters. Holy shit. What a way we've come, eh?

Wow. I liked this.

Having Shen show up and hand Tien his helmet (making him the new master of the Crane school) is nice.

Everyone's speeches about Goku were pretty cool (Tien again was great, with making his joke about being of the few dudes who can say they beat Goku...though Roshi's victory is a tinge more legitimate).

Vegeta's breakdown in front of Goku's grave while drunk was certainly more pronounced then his brief statement that he'd just never fight anymore in the series (though that works as well).

I still haven't read nearly as much of this as I could, but I've never disliked what I've seen. Congrats on 100 chapters. I can only hope to ever get that far with something I've done.

I still love the idea that Cell's absorbees can't be revived because he drinks their souls. Thanks for that, guys.

Been ruminating on an idea I've thought of for some time:

Basically, what if Goku never came to earth for one reason or another.

As a result, Bulma meets Gohan Sr. instead of Goku, and he travels with her as his bodyguard (because he's far too nice to let such a lady get herself killed as she clearly has no clue what she's doing).

This results in him fighting Yamcha in the desert, and also being aware that the latter is following him to get a wish.

He also asks the Ox King to let him train Chi-chi and teach her more about the world so that she's a bit less of a dumb ass bumpkin, and at the end of the arc, opts to train Yamcha as well, before sending them both off to train with Roshi (where they meet Krillin).

It's still rough, but one of the ideas is that they (along with Chiaotzu and Tenshihan when they show up) begin inheriting many of the items Goku himself received from Gohan and Roshi (and later, some techniques as well).

The Red Ribbon army will be on the move a little earlier than in the original story, though they won't become a factor until later, but I'm pondering the reveal of Red's true wish happening much sooner in the backstory, and Black killing him earlier, changing the direction of the group before their canon appearance. They still want the dragon balls, and they are still an incredibly powerful army of evil that even the Government of the world stands zero chance against, but due to Black being more pragmatic (as long as they are no random Monkey boys arounds) most people don't realize just how bad they are, and they even have people volunteering to join them from the places they occupy in the hope of gaining some favour and making money.

They also directly hire Tao Pai Pai, his bro, and their students (and give them code names too, though they rarely use those).

Well, there's too much to say here, but to sum up, Tales of the Monkey Queen has inspired me to use Suno and have her start learning Martial Arts from the Crane school. So yeah, I'm nuts.

Phew. Don't even know how far this one will get.

So given everything else the Red Ribbon Army was up to, why didn't they find Buu's egg/cocoon thingy?

Like. Buu's been on Earth for the past 5 Million years before the series began.

And it's weird that at no point up to when Babidi shows up did anybody notice.

Maybe it was shielded by magic? Or buried? Not like they could have done anything to it, anyway.

I can buy it either being hidden by Magic.

Bibidi would have probably made it really hard to find so no one dug it up too early, or the Kais didn't find it.

In which Mr. Satan has to feed Goku because Chichi blackmails him.

It's kinda great.

By which I mean the best Dragon Ball story of all time.

Right now I'm getting close to finishing the first chapter of a Dragon Ball Super fanfic. It'll be a retelling of how the Trio de Dangers managed to assemble a full team for Universe 9 in the last remaining hours until the tournament. I've always wondered how they pulled that off, and I thought it'd be fun to write a fic about how it could have happened.

Would anyone be interested in taking a look at what I have?

So someone sent me a "review" in Tales of the Monkey Queen. If I have to behold this stupidity, so do you.

Name: Vadxhal

Affiliations: 100 Trillion unnamed entities (absorption/permanent fusee)

Species: Gooxeorriwth

Origin: Existed since the beginning of time itself.

Aliases: None

Alinement: chaos neutral

Gender: Male

Heigh: Variable (usually 191 cm)

Age: Time immemorial

Appearance: He stood roughly 10 feet tell and sported a well toned frame. His build was leaner and slightly muscular. He had Blue scales all over his body that has a strange squishy gooey texture to it. Light blue underbelly on belly traveled up past his chest and to his mouth. On his chest, that there was a bevy of perfectly defined muscles. He was wearing odd clothing. His tail which is long enough to touch the ground poked out of the hole in the back of his pants. He was wearing a Blue T-shirt, a purple sweatshirt, and white pants with a black belt, and a yellow buckle on which emblazoned with the letter [B]. His feet end with clawed feet, with four small toes in the front. His hand, was a dark Blue, and he had..blue claws, the parts of gooey flesh that were exposed were also Blue. Two strange squarish structures where his ears might be, 4 Short cones from the top of his head. His eyes was were somewhat narrowed and his eye color was Yellow iris with black sclera. His chin was square, jawline was like chiseled rock, narrow, reptilian muzzle. His muzzle was a bit pointy at the tip, slightly curving in a diagonal way. He has blue scaled snout with two nostrils on the end of it, with razor sharp fangs. His muzzle was several inches longer and sharp claws tipped his hands and feet.

Personality: He is cocky, arrogant, he have little to no respect for law and order either, but overall a nice guy once you get to know him. Vadxhal is mentally influenced to varying degrees by the people he's absorbed and so his personality has many unusual twists. This is likely due to the sheer number of absorptions he has had over countless Millennium, making him susceptible to various mood swings, changing emotions from anger to calm within a split second without warning. Vadxhal's morality is pretty hard to grasp; he's definitely kinder, but he also has no problem absorbing someone if he thinks they've got a neat trait.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: He has grown very strong over the past countless Millennium, although he is also very unpredictable due to his diverse amount of powers, many of which Vadxhal has yet to reveal.

Wow, that's not a review in the slightest. I get the feeling someone misunderstood the point of your fanfic and tried to submit an OC for you to use.

He apparently uses the character in his own fics, as well as other characters whose names are impossible to pronounce. The only reviews are about how horrible they are.
