Yes, this trope is about meeting someone who had a sex change at a high school reunion. But the title implies anything. Say that someone does not see someone for a long time. Then they notice that they have changed, maybe a little, maybe a lot. The problem is that the title is not specific to sex changes. I see some misuse, particularly in one Johnny Bravo example on another trope page and partial misuse in the Truth in Television page. This article needs a title that makes it more clear that it's about sex changes.
Puʻu ʻŌʻōClassic Stock Phrase suckitude. Rename this, pronto.
No, the other one.How much misuse?
Check out my fanfiction!
From Reunion Revenge:
Johnny Bravo has combined this with Something's Different About You Now (the other typical reunion plot): Johnny wants top take revenge on a girl who always made fun of him when they were kids but it turns out that she turned into a total babe. The rest of the episode is spent agonizing whether she likes him now or she's just playing a prank on him like she used to. It's a prank.Because I never watched Johnny Bravo, I'm not too sure about this one, but the example's wording implies that the writer confused it for She Is All Grown Up. From TruthInTelevision.S-U:
Something's Different About You Now: People change over time. That fat nerd you knew? Dropped the weight and became hot. That man you knew? Was actually a woman., or vice versa. The Hollywood Atheist you remembered from college? Is now a devout churchgoer. Can be very difficult, especially if the changes make your relationship now incompatible.Only one of the possibilities listed applies.

Dragon WriterI've taken a quick scan and these look like the problem usage to me:

I just watched that episode. All the more reason to rename.

SF-81A Black KnightFrom playing Guess That Trope Definition, I would've figured this was more along the lines of (from the Firefly episode "Trash") Mal running into an old friend and then noticing something different, not being able to figure out what it is, and then realizing the old friend shaved his beard. +1 to rename.
Gender Bendered Reunion

Puʻu ʻŌʻō@9 would be in the good range for me. @8 still looks like dialogue to me.
I guessed from the name that this was about really huge obvious changes that couldn't possibly be overlooked, such as the friend being replaced by a twelve foot horned ogre, but the speaker just can't seem to place what's different about them. So I'd vote to rename.
Gentleman Troper!I support the rename.
Special trousers. Very heroic.
Puʻu ʻŌʻōStat. Do we start a crowner here?
Gender Bendered Reunion and Reunion Gender Bender. I don't really like my other suggestions, but I wanted to toss them out there because I was thinking about them.

Dragon WriterRGB doesn't work. In fact, neither of them really sound right....
You Had A Sex Change?

The problem with that is that it's not specific to reunions.
Wandering...Reunion After The Sex Change?
Gender Bender is actually another trope which it uses Applied Phlebotinum. This applies to Easy Sex Change. (There's no trope for Not So Easy Sex Change.) How about: Reunion After Sex Change. Drops the "the" for better zippynes.
Ohh, you beat me to the edit. We were both thinking that.

Gentleman Troper!Works for me. We can also drop the 'the'.
Special trousers. Very heroic.
OFNG sounds the best to me.
Has my vote.
Dragon WriterI tend to roll eyes at any "contrasting pair" trope title. New Gendered Friend?
