When I made the suggestion for Dual Wielding, I originally meant it to be for this trope instead, but I forgot how to find the "To Do" list.
Anyway, here are my suggestions: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] (6 is the same pose as Waif-Fu.)

Throwing this one out there: Hilde from Soul Calibur 4

EDIT: Upon further inspection, River isn't even an example of this trope. Even Hilde is borderline, but she does seem to fit.

Connor Kenway?

He's got a bow, a tomahawk, hidden blade, a sword 2 guns on him...

Only the hidden blade and tomahawk are pertinent to this trope, though. And I really think the hidden blade will be tough to see at wiki size.

The last Connor one is pretty good.

I still like Hilde over it, mind you, but it's my second choice in the topic.

Out of the OP ones, 5 is best.

The main issue with the images provided by Cobra Prime is that they look like many other things besides this trope.

This trope isn't assymetrical Dual Wielding. That's Dual Wielding.

I am not clear what that means.

Wielding two different weapons at the same time.

Basicially: The images of River aren't Multi-Melee Master; they're just Dual Wielding.

I feel like this trope probably needs a good picture because of potential misuse. Putting River up there will make people put similar Dual Wielding examples.

River Tam was in the examples. I removed it.

Pretty sure #17 doesn't count, because a shield isn't typically viewed as a weapon, even if there's historical precedent that it was sometime used as a makeshift weapon to bash people with.

So far, Hilde is my favorite suggestion.

[up][up] It's the sword in the scabbard that's the second weapon. The best part of that image is that while he has two weapons that are for two different purposes, by having one sheathed it illustrates the difference between this and dual-wielding. Now, if you looked at it and overlooked the sword in the scabbard (at wiki size it looks less like a sword and more like... I don't know, but it's not as clear) then that's an issue.

... I mean, I still like Hilde more.

It was some times since I played, but is Hilde switching weapons, or Dual Wielding?

She definitely holds them both at the same time, but since they're functionally different (IE one is for short range, one is for medium range) she qualifies for the trope, I believe.

However, I would prefer an image of a character who has one distinct melee weapon, and another sheathed on his body. And the more I look at the hoplite the weirder that scabbard looks to me.
