Just a Face and a Caption: Not So Different

The image on Not So Different isn't very good: the text does all the work, and the two character heads might as well not be there. I would like to make a few alternative suggestions that either show the characters being not so different, or at least show an emotional facial reaction to the insight.

Sinfest, other Sinfest, Girl Genius, and Sluggy.

The current picture is essentially a quote, so agreed on it needing a change.

I think the first panel of the first comic would be good; it's simple, not wordy, and to the point.

That panel doesn't work standing alone, though.

I agree that the current is bad, but I think the only suggestion that would be an improvement rather than a lateral move is the Girl Genius page. The last one or two panels, specifically.

I think the first panel of the first one works, or the last and one other panel for the second. The other two I just don't get as clearly. Too much text.

On its own, the current isn't bad enough to be pulled.

The first one should be pulled. It's essentially nothing but quote. Is there any way we could do this with a picture and no words?

I like the last two panels of this one or the first two of this one.

Might be possible to do something with this Ears for Elves page. Otherwise, the last two of that Sinfest strip is fine.

Man, that would be great, but it seems like you'd need to use most of it to really get the punchline. If we can get it down to manageable size and it makes sense, I vote for that.

I think there's less illustrating going on there than in some of the other suggestions.

The Ef E strip works, but the Sinfest strips are more succinct.

So it's not possible to do this with just a picture and no words? None of the panels add much to the quotes.

Well, if either wins, we're going to have to crop it down to one or two panels since we can't use the whole thing without permission.
