These new hottips are easy to miss.
Like I said, I don't think this'll be a 10-Minute Retirement like last time, I think it'd be a Quasi-Roaring Rampage of Revenge against Raygo with little chance of success.
OH and I thought of something to explain how Ryuko was raised; maybe Tsumugu's sister was Ryuko's surrogate mother before her death, and She is Senketsu...[]
Still doesn't adequately explain Raygo not recognizing who Isshin was; or if she did, not realizing sooner that Ryuko was her daughter.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them. She might not have known Isshin had a daughter. I suspect she didn't figure out who he really was until shortly before she sent Nui to kill him, or maybe even later.
By the way - has anyone managed to ID the BGM being used in Episode 19, around the point where Sanageyama says "We five are stronger than anyone!" (18:45 and immediately onwards) I can't seem to find it on the OST, and it's awesome.

Also, is it just me or is this episode a bit...grayer than usual?
A pie bus falls into a multiversal convergence point. Hilarity ensues.I dunno, I was too busy paying attention to the clothes falling off Aikuro and his shining shininess outsihining everything and everyone with shine.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Drowned out colors? Not the first time they did it, Gurren Lagann did it after Kamina died.
Speaking of, didn't Simon go through a similar thing when Kamina died? Ya know, angsting about his life before bouncing back?

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I want MAKO to slap some sense into Ryuko.
Its been done. what needs to happen is for Satsuki to make Ryuko grit those teeth.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.you know, Ryuuko's situation also reminds me of how Ryoma abandoned the Getter Team in New Getter after seeing the shitty future or , keeping with the MGR parallels when Raiden went angsty before reawakening his Jack persona. in fact, it would make sense if just like Moonson and Sam , Ragyo wanted Ryuuko to angst like this to reduce her danger potential. now , the most likely development will be Ryuuko accepting herself and her situation like Ryoma and Raiden did.
So Ryuko is gonna let'er rip soon? Good enough.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does."I THINK IT'S TIME FOR RYUUKO... TO LET 'ER RIP!" *cue Rules of Nature and/or Stains of Time*
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialAn extremely rock version of Don't Lose your Way.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The end of the episode was probably to allow the Satsuki fans to not give up hope on her still kicking ass and not becoming a pawn. As a person who joined up with her quickly, I'm glad about that.
But, I got so annoyed at Ryuko. I think it was that she had already gone down that road once already (for good reason), where she doubted herself. This time, however, she's actually mad at Sentseku, feeling like she's a "monster". While her anger is justified, she seems to be taking it out on a convinent target, especially since she should've had her development already and figured out who the real enemy is now. Nui's bad, but your newfound mama's worse.
Episode 20 will probably determine whether her reaction is either Wangst or relatable emotions and whether or not being captured will the byproduct of overwhelming power or sheer ignorance. I know this is an unpopular idea.
I got some bad newz to tell you.So main characters can't have more than one moment of depression?
Honestly, the main annoying thing about Ryuko at the end was....we already did this bit. It doesn't bother me that much, as it was like a minute at most. I'm willing to wait to see where it goes. It probably works out like it did last time. Senketsu will talk some sense into her, she puts him back on and they go to kick ass.
Although characters finding out something about themselves that was true all along and suddenly decided they are monsters is one of those things that happens so often in fiction and does annoy the hell out of me. Same with characters worrying about not being human when you couldn't tell before. If she wasn't a monster before, she isn't now that she knows something she didn't. Grow up dammit! Yeesh. Emotional reactions are ok, but this is kinda stupid. Honestly, saying she didn't want Senketsu to fight against his own kind made more sense than this.

Yeah you guys are acting like this is going to last more than an episode, if that.
"Oh no, Ryoko's not going to fight anymore because she's afraid of being consumed by Senketsu!" Half an episode.
"Oh no, Senketsu's destroyed! Ryoko's going to have to spend the rest of the season putting him back together and fighting without him!" Put back together in 1.5 episodes.
"Oh no, Ryoko refuses to fight anymore because Senketsu would be fighting his own kind!" Barely half an episode.
The formula is Shit happens/Ryoko freaks out, problem goes away shortly there after. I'm honestly surprised you guys haven't recognized this pattern yet.

Amusingly, after the near-constant death-flagging for her, Mako finally does meet her demise...then gets rescued later that same episode. Trigger are just trolling us.
I am liking pretty much canon status of MakoxGamagori.
Allowed me to make this◊

I live in a constant state of fear and misery.the hilarious part is that under normal circumstances, it's be pointless drama(and to an extent, it is) but each one has been a plot point.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm still not seeing it. Yeah, Ira definitely has a thing for Mako, but I'm not seeing the reverse? Am I missing something?
i. hear. a. sound. So you're mad at her for being like a human? Would you really be that rational after finding out that everything is a lie?

More like mad at her putting her personal problems above the world, if just for a moment.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
Where I can understand Ryuko's Edge la Edgy state now, I hope some one will snap her out of it quickly. Preferably by Senketsu. And preferably with stuff like "You might have been infused with Life Fiber for most of your life, but it hasn't made any difference in you for most of it."
And I want Ragyo be cut in half by Rending Scissors. But not to kill her first. Oh now. I want her to be like "Eh. Stuff happen" and then finding out that she cannot attach her body together. Infusing her upper body with Origin Life Fiber optional for final boss.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
