Agree. The Goku/Krillin example seems valid but I've only ever seen one episode where Krillin actually fights so I don't know for certain.
I still say make it video-game only. It's just... simpler.
Honestly I don't remember any fights early on where either of them really exhibit anything resembling a cohesive style. They're both trained by the Turtle Hermit and know the Kamehameha, but their moves are either really generic or instinctive and unless someone pointed it out, I wouldn't have thought they'd have had anything to do with one another.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Oh, had a brainstorm and came up with an alliterative title so Moveset Clone has something to vote against. How does Moveset Mirror sound?
Dunno. A mirror has the whole connotation with things being reversed or opposite. I don't think that goes well with the trope.
Check out my fanfiction!Yeah, I'd be reluctant to say that the word "moveset" could apply to non-video game characters/people.
Of course, I've been saying since the second page of the thread that I think the trope includes more than simply moveset, but I think that ship has sailed at this point.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. Can you just tell us in one sentence what else you think it includes?
Bump for votes.
Move Set Clone seems as good as any.
I really can't see how this could apply outside of games in any clear way. Well, I can see how you could apply it, in the sense of "character X has this role in the story, character Y has the same role", as a generalized version of Replacement Love Interest. I don't see how you could define that in a clear way without leaving it incredibly prone to misuse however.
Added your options to the crowner.
i think the crowner is pretty much at consensus
Considering the new options, I don't think so.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanone option is at +13, the closest second is -4, everything else is even deeper in the red
It's been at least a little while now, and nothing indicates the results would just turn around completely.
Check out my fanfiction!Me thinks we has a winner.
I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.Calling the crowner in favor of Moveset Clone, with a final tally of +13 (yeas:14 nays:1) 14.00 : 1
Next highest was Moveset Mirror, in the red at -4 (yeas:2 nays:6)
Commence the actual move, please. Thread has been starred.

Crown Description:
Ryu And Ken has a long, rambling description and rampant misuse for pretty much every duo under the sun. Furthermore, the works Ninja Gaiden, Fist Of The North Star, and Science Ninja Team each also contain a Ryu/Ken duo that are completely unrelated to this trope. What should be done to fix it?
This is why I'm dubious about allowing non-game example. The moves are fluidly animated depending on scene. There's no fixed set of moves they have like in games. That significantly lowers the clone factor the trope needs. For those you'd have to actually prove the two character actually have the same moves, with at most a few changes.
