>:/ Not good.
Now's it's Shulk Time!Nothing lost. Nintendo Direct gives us all the hype we need once a month instead of once a year. Big E3 shows are just redundant for Nintendo now.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Well that's a downer..i may not be a complete nintendo fan but i always liked to watch the conferences. But with the nintendo directs they already have a better way of doing these presentations anyway. Lets just hope this isn't the sign of bad things to come from this years E3.
Edit: Now that we have brought up E3 should i make a new thread for it or do you want to make this THE E3 thread (i know only 4 people have posted but just saying)

Finally. Nintendo Directs are the right course of action.
I'll just say that holding all your cards for one big trade show is a marketing strategy that has fallen out of favor in a lot of places around the tech industry. Notice too how Sony and Microsoft are doing their first console unveiling at private events well in advance of E3 this year, where it used to be The Big Reason to go to E3 during prior console cycles.
Nintendo has evolved beyond the confines of E3. It comes to you directly from the source. It is now self aware.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireSo Nintendo is sentient now. Soon, all our brains will be wired to Miiverse.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectE3 was actually supposed to have scaled down years ago, but then it went back to being a big deal again.
Nintendo, whilst not having the best announcements or games, always have the best showmanship to me, as Sony and especially Microsoft become some stuffy CEO/Boardroom Social Media snoozefest. So I'm sad.
E3 is a fun thing and I'm sorry if it goes. Having the immediate contrast between the shows is interesting.
DumboNintendo's 3DS reveal was fun. Oh well.

He just made a goof.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectAww, that's one less contender for most embarrassing conference.
But I can see why they're doing that.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Konami might decide to come back and do a live event this year, so you never know.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThey'll never top that one conference.
Never.
Hasn't E3 already lost its relevance?
People say that all the time, yet it still keeps its relevance.
Nintendo just found a way to deliver information on a low budget that still gets the job done. And monthly instead of yearly.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. It's for the best. Nintendo didn't really "fit" at E3 anymore.
Follow me on Twitter, I'm pretty awesome http://www.twitter.com/ZekeFreekThe Wii U has been an utter disaster.
And don't act like this is nothing important. The Tokyo Game Show is the conference that has become irrelevant, not E3.
I, on the other hand, am going to EA, Sony and Microsoft's keynotes. I won't have to bring a pillow to Nintendo's conference like I have the past few years.
Jonah Falconlol like anyone cares about your editorializing, JF.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Because Nintendo clearly dont know what theyre doing. Its not like the Wii U will pick up momentum once its library starts to grow or anything. I'll bet it'll be as much of a failure as its predecessor and the 3DS. e_e

Pfft!

There'll be some smaller press gatherings and software booths at e3 proper though.
